Way simpler, cheaper, and just as effective to add your own crossmember. I boxed just a bit of the frame and then added a piece of 1.75" tubing and some ruff stuff tabs.

Just wish there was a good way to run 12" shocks without going through the bed or having the hangers way down low.

As far as shackles are concerned, I've learned my lesson messing around with them. Don't know that I would call one over the other 'proper'. Inverted or regular, if they pivot enough to accommodate the length of spring, they're doing their job. Changing the mounting point in relation to the frame doesn't change your springs.

Im not saying go out and spend extra money on something when you have the ability to make it.

As for shackles. OEM on the 2nd gens dont move freely without loosening the bolt and standing on a tire. One of if not the most functional mods ive done is the shackle flip on my rig.

Getting my BAMF shock tower put on July 11 with 2.5 kings and was wondering if someone knew how big of wheel spacer I'll end to clear the shocks. Got 17x8 fn fx pro rims with 4.5 bs and 285/75 toyo's. Planning on putting arp wheel studs on at the same time and don't want to cut them and have them still to long for the spacers.

You're gonna rub the shock body when you flex it

Will be close to rubbing non flexed to I'd think. Just was wondering if someone ran close to this setup and what size spacer they used so I can get it before hand. I know it would be better to wait and see though

haha not fully apparently,I was getting asked a question at work while I was reading it. Sorry! I rub with 4.3 BS, I would need Just over a 1/4"" to fully clear, so I would get 3/4" spacers with that tire size and BS

Well shit misread that too, think I'll get back on here after work! I have 2.0, the 3/4" spacer would be cutting it too close for you to fully clear, you'd be better off trying to get to 3.5" BS. Sorry for being confusing.

Well I run the same tire and BS wheel and scrub a little bit with 2.0s. Id say the Synergy 1.5" spacers should be more than enough.

Who'll hopefully I can run the smallest one possible like a 3/4 but I highly doubt it and your guess of 1.5 is probably going to be. Thanks guys for the answers! :)
