Does everyone plan on camping down at Shoshone? I would kinda like to go into Christina also since I had to turn around early last time to make it back in time for a wedding.

Does Bruiser have any armor? I'm going to spend the summer building some skids, and sliders for mine. I think I'll probably end up wheeling it more than my truck, I think it'll be better suited for it. If I can get enough to done to it, I may try taking it to Shoshone.

So I was planning on heading to Montana to look at this 86 pickup this weekend. Been wanting an old project Yota for awhile now, but then I ran a carfax and it came up as having a junk title back in 2001. The title was somehow restored between 2001 and 2006 but the current owner claims to have no idea. Should I just walk away from this or might it still be worth while to take a look at? I appreciate any feedback.

I should be here as well @Blackdawg when you guys may run Shoshone. I'm doubting i'll bring my truck down there though based on what i've seen so far. We'll likely ride it this weekend and i'll take pics so you guys know what you're in for... But good thing is shoshone isnt the only good trail here.

I also want to hike to Mt Arter this summer which is a 2 mile hike from Cyclone Pass. Be a super rewarding view for only 2 miles. If we get to cyclone early enough maybe we can run up there before going down to the lake? I know getting out of the truck to walk isnt most ppls cup of tea lol

You'll definietly need skids for holy cross.

It's fuckin tight. You technically can't make it to the lake...only the last two hundred or so yards. Don't know if I'll fit now. I haven't run that one in years so it would be great to do that too in the same weekend. What's your rig built like? How far did you make it on Christina? That trail towards the end gets pretty hairy..

Yea I can say for sure on shoshone/Christina for the first weekend in August. Holy cross not 100% yet. I'll keep you posted.

    WHAT?!

You pussying out already? Shit. Come on man. Bring the big cheese.

I'm up for a hike. The ride up to the pass is the fast part. It's down to the lake that Takes time. Last time you and i did it it took us no time. So long as we keep the group semi small lets do it. Be fun and a nice change.

You can make it to Christina. It is tight at the end though. Cousin in the foreground and my truck back by the dam last year.

I seem to remember another truck with tires off the ground, at that very spot, that didn't break anything

Front and rear bumper, although I wouldn't consider the front bumper anything amazing. I really enjoy it for buzzing around town/dirt roads. Once I get a few things fixed I will be pretty dang happy with the cheap purchase.

We made it about 1/2 mile or so after the Hiking trail to Louis Lake intersects, I was in the Jeep last time so it was a little different.
Taco has 33's, bumpers, skids, sliders, winch, probably will try and add a fuel tank skid by then. If I can get some armor made for the 80 I may try and bring it instead, I would feel better about taking it into Shoshone.

Awesome, I almost end up driving mine around more than the Taco. I think it is going to make a great rig for wheeling, especially since I'm only in it $1200 I wont worry about messing it up as much.

My dad didn't make it in his 2nd gen. He had to take a detour to do it. Which may be a full on by pass by now.. Kinda was when we where there. Should be okay though.

Shoshone, I guess will wait on a report from Marc and brett

It takes 30s to check? Why haven't you? Oh yeah, too busy hacking a stupid trailer instead of doing required maintenance
