Hey guys, I just bought a 2016 off road and noticed a small vibration or buzz every other time I push the brake pedal. It lasts for a few seconds at the most but you can definitely feel it and even hear it sometimes. I took it in to the dealer and they told me it was normal on the off roads because of he hydro boost system. I drove a 2016 Trd sport and it didn't do this. Anyone else have this issue?

Depends on the issue, it's it just initial depression, is it specifically during certain RPMs or speeds? There's a big thread on the rumble strip feeling and the 2nd Gen had this issue. It was due to a pinion being off.

I'm fighting with Toyota right now over this and transmission issues.

It's more like an electronic vibration for a few seconds. Like something is cycling on and off. It always does it even in park

I'm getting the rumble strips feeling for a few seconds when slowing to a stop. I thought it was the road at first, but then I realized it was happening everywhere when I slow down.....

That is 100% normal for the OR, no worries. You won't even notice it after a while.

    That is normal.
I have the issue coasting, braking, in neutral, drive, ect on, 4x4 engaged or off. 2nd gens had the issue too and I believe it was due to some bearing is the diff being off spec and some people got it fixed by having their leafs replaced.

I have a 16' DCSB OR w/tow package that I got the second week in May. The truck has a physical and audible rumble/ vibration between 15-25mph. When I depress the brake at any speed the truck vibrates and seems to be getting more noticeable. I took it to the dealership at around 1200 miles, and they kept it all day. I was told that they performed a software upgrade for the transmission, and also performed several other checks. They also admitted that they could still feel the vibration in the brakes, but that was all they could do currently. They said they opened up a case with corporate. Furthermore all I can do is wait for them to contact me. I will be calling corporate Monday to open a case on my end as well.

I have a DCLB OR 4X4 and have no such vibration. I don't think that's normal. The master cylinder is still vacuum assisted when not using crawl control or MTS.

Please update us if that fixes the issues. Several of us have that issue and think it's driveline related, not brakes

truck still at dealer, they changed rear drums not resolved the vibrations, they try also changing wheels &rims from new 2016 sport not resolved , they said today afternoon that is not related to brakes they also said needs to consult with toyota they are thinking as you correctly mentioned that is related to drivelines/ driveshafts issues ( thinking to replaced driveshafts )so they keep the truck at dealer and will let me now in a couple days monday /possible, they said that they have same problem with other 3 trucks that they have in stock( manager service said "we are going to deal with those later right now we needs to figured out what is happening with yours" they said that if they resolved my problem they can resolved the others , dealer is located in el centro california USA, my truck has only 1000 miles, I bought it on may 27 2016 let me now if you have any questions . services manager is a nice person try ing to figured it out the problem.

Sounds like you have a great dealer! First time I brought up this issue my dealer said "it's normal", second time they turned the drums....Maybe third time a charm?!?
