I don't see an issue with it but I wouldn't do it... You spent a shit ton on that RTT... I couldn't take myself to drilling a hole in it!

Well spent 500 for it so not the normal amount.lol call me crazy but I think I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna try to use a rubber grommet around the bolt to help keep water and other debris.

Either use that or just a rubber washer on the top and bottom... I paid 2k for mine

Also remove your mattress and stuff or youll have a nice hole in that lol...

Yeah will do. That would suck. I'm going to try to use small bolts so there aren't any huge holes and not big bolts sticking up.

Why not wire up an LED light strip? Adhere it with 3M automotive tape.

That'll give you plenty of light with minimal intrusion.

Wire it into a quick connect/disconnect like a Metripak or similar so you can remove it when you take the tent off.

I misread your intention. Sorry about that.

You can always fabricate an "L" bracket that extends off your bedrack past your tent or to the side and mount your backup lights to that.

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting an Tepui Autana or similar. Does any one have dimensions of the height of the annex? Floor to bottom of tent. Also Am I correct in assuming that you need to take the annex off to stow/travel with the tent? Where does the annex go for travel?

    Thanks

I have the Autana Ruggedized. You have to take the annex off for transport. I simply fold mine up as best as I can and put it inside the tent before I close it up. It will fit easily as long as you don't fold it up into one small ball. I don't know the exact height but I'm guessing 6ft or a little taller. Mine is on bed bars and there's so much slack on the ground that it gets in the way.

ok, I am thinking about putting the tent on a topper and was wondering if it would hit the ground or if I would need an extension. I only have a 3 in lift, so I should be good.

    Thanks for the reply
