Jesus Christ dude, you just get off on being a fucking cunt, don't you? Why the fuck are you here?? The majority of your comments are ragging on someone for asking a question, mocking a lack of knowledge, or just in general trying to be an Internet tough guy.

You're not impressing anyone. You're not being funny. Your shitty attitude isn't welcome here. Now go on and report me for calling your childish bullshit out, since that seems to be your MO also.

Don't come on to this forum complaining about how it's only for stuff about Tacoma's, then try to belittle someone for trying to find out more about Tacoma's. Also, you sound fucking retarded when you tell someone to google Tacoma information, on the largest Tacoma forum. Guess what asshole, Google brings you here!

I just put them on yesterday so I'm not sure on the mileage. They're the BFG KO2's. I did drive 100 miles so far and no change in mpg. As far as ride goes its pretty nice and a lot more quiet than I had expected. Very happy with the bfg's

Clay bar is sort of the next level up from an actual wax. You want to use a vehicle intended soap first that is meant to remove any existing / current wax or finisher, so that when you're done you just have clean clear coat.

Clay bar goes on immediately following that cleaning since you want zero dirt or dust on the clear coat when you apply. It takes some elbow grease, but your supposed to warm the clay bar (while still in its sealed package) in a bucket of warm to hot water (at least, I've found that to be the easiest method). Don't want to apply it while it's still hard since, one, it would not apply well, and two, it would just be a pain in the ass.

The general method is like wax, in that you do a good sized section, allow it to set a bit, then remove. I've made the mistake though of waiting too long to remove and THAT my good sir, is a shitload of work.

The good thing though is that once you've gone through the trouble, you generally don't have to do it again for a good amount of time, and you can use a synthetic wax / sealant on top of it that applies much easier, and your paint looks like liquid glass, plus it's much more protected!

Ugh, I miss Cali :(. Born and raised in Santa Cruz county. Moved to WA at 16 so I've been up here for half my life now. Don't get me wrong, love the PNW, but my heart is still on a beach somewhere near Monterey. Lived in West Seattle for quite a while just to have a taste of home.

No, just laid on the floor with my head by the pedals. It's visible with a light once you get under there.

Last time I applied sealant I used one of those rubber clay rags. I used some soapy water that had ton of soap to increase lubrication. It worked petty well and took me about 10 mins to clay the whole truck. I'm not sure if it's as good as real clay but it did pick up contamination and smooth the paint.

So much wrong with this post... I know you're trying to help out guys new to this, but I need to toss in a few thoughts to make sure people don't get confused on how to use a clay bar or what it is for.

First, a clay bar doesn't get "applied." A clay bar should be considered a tool used to remove contaminants. No portion of the clay bar should be staying on your car.

Second, since it's not "applied" there's nothing to set and nothing to buff off later. You should be using a clay bar with a (lot of) lubricant to keep it sliding easily across the paint, picking up the contaminants as it goes. The lubricant then gets wiped off as you go, section by section.

Finally, applying a wax or sealant after using a clay bar is not an optional step. It is absolutely required in order for your paint to be protected as it will be completely stripped bare and unprotected once you are done claying.

Absolutely agreed, I'm not sure what you are "applying" when you used your clay-bar but you may be doing it wrong :/ Recommend you check out a few how to videos, or maybe you just aren't using clay-bar but a different cleaning product?

I've used clay-bar for roughly the last 3 years and it works beautifully. Hell I used it on a 2001 Xterra that had sat in the desert and it took stuff off that I thought was just engrained into it.
