I'm interested in purchasing a 2016 Tacoma SR5 2WD. Model #7146. There is a really good deal on one at my local Toyota dealership. I'm also interested in lifting it 2 to 3 inches. I've done some reading about lifts on this forum but most of what I have found was for TRD or 4x4 SR5's, nothing specifically for a 2WD SR5. Being a woman I want to get as much info as possible before speaking to the guys at my local auto shop about installing the lift. I wont be doing much off roading, some mudding, but mostly pavement driving. I previously owned a 2005 Tacoma (was hit by someone running a redlight and now my tacoma is resting in peace). I purchased it from a friend and it already had a 3 inch lift on it with 32 inch tires. I would like to do the same to the new tacoma. Whatever size lift would allow 32 inch tires with no rubbing would be great. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Also, does anyone know where to find a rear black bumper for the SR5 to replace the chrome one? I've searched online and cant find anything. Will the black TRD rear bumper fit? THANKS!!

You can fit 32's stock with no rubbing of lift.

Your tire size you'd want is 265/75/16

I had the same problem. Not too many lifted 2WD 3rd gens, or at least info on the SR5 2WD lifted that I could find. I went with Rough Country 2" front spacer and a 1" rear block on 265/75/16 KO2's.

    Stock height with 265/75/16 KO2's

And lifted with 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers and the front air dam removed as well.

    Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Sweet ride!!!! Thanks for sharing your info and pics!!! Exactly how I'd like mine to be set up. How does it ride with the lift and KO2's compared to just stock with the KO2's?

Thanks! Mine is just a spacer kit so there was not much of a change in ride quality from stock height and KO2's. I think the biggest difference will be the tires. 265/75/16 KO2's are an E load tire. Heavy and stiff. I know the KO2's perform well and look great. That's all I really cared about. Good Luck!

Is this the kit you used on the front?

If you go 3" or higher in the front you will need new UCA'. There are various ways to go about getting an extra 1" or 2" lift on the Taco. Check out the thread linked below for some ideas. There are also lots of other threads with great info in them. By the way I was running Cooper Discoverer AT3 265/75-16 tires with no rubbing on stock suspension and I tried to get them to rub. Good luck.
