Hopefully soonish. Lol I'm going to use it on my fuel cell. I believe it's a one way air valve right?

I don't think the OE one is one way which is why everyone replaces them because it will let water into the rear diff. Your truck has a few more of those on it in the engine bay for the front diff and tranny too I think. You could " steal " one of those to pop apart and check out. The little metal cap just pops off and I'm pretty sure that is all it is - just a metal cap over an open fitting.

You need something that only let pressure inside the fuel cell " pop off " ? If so I think you would need a spring loaded one ...basically like a mini turbo pop off valve ? I bet if you called someone like Summit Racing they could tell you if it exists and more than likely they have it.

Pop the cap off and you will find a ball bearing a spring. They work great till they get dirty.

then why does everyone replace them ? just on the chance that it pops off at the same time you are fording the Mississippi ?

@Evenflow they replace them because they are one way and once hot and you drive through water the axle sucks water through the end bearing and seals

I need something that will let air in the tank but won't let air out so there isn't any evap and emission codes.

Oh wow, I always thought the issue was the breather itself.

So you would install it upside down so air would pass into the cell right ? But is there negative pressure inside the tank that will pull a device like that open

Edit - duh...the same suction that caused your problem would open the valve in theory right ?

Just get one made for fuel systems they make rollover valves that will shut off if you roll over so you dont have fuel spilling out and lighting your ass on fire in the truck after an accident!! Dont do it!

And no it is NOT a one way air valve just a vent valve BTW.

Did another OME lift yesterday, and later installed a Cali Raised Stealth LED setup behind the valance on another Tacoma.

Good to know. I'm still on my stock tank. I'll look into this if I ever go full kill race truck.

Pretty sure my fuel kept flowing while upside down in the air, but I also think gravity was holding the gas down on the bottom of the tank.
