    We used to have an Irish Setter. Great dog but a little manic sometimes. One fourth of july we left the dog home alone and the next door neighbors had a party with fireworks. The dog tore some moldings off of the wall around a door. She must have been freaking out.:mad:

    Mine just usually pant and move from one spot to another to another. they hate thunder storms as well. Thankfully never had a damage issue. Ollie's been afraid most of her 9 1/2 years of life. I think Annie picked the fear up from Ollie. Up until about a year ago (Annie just turned 4 last week) the noises never bothered her... They just won't settle down. I know Ollie is upset when she won't even eat treats :(

    We used to have an Irish Setter that sort of wandered the neighborhood. he was very friendly. (he was let out to potty, but not watched very closely)

    My beagle does the same thing when it thunders and during hunting season. Tries to hide behind the TV or the toilet. Won't eat treats, just tries to hide and drools on the floor. Takes a good half hour for him to settle down after the noise stops.
