Does a TRD license plate frame count as a mod?
Upgraded to an AGM battery (stock one did its duty and lasted for a good 5+ years). Also made the DIY Hi Lift bracket and attached my jack to the bed rails.

20160623_140113.jpg Just got the basket off Craigslist. Should I leave the bottom fairing, or take it off? Can't decide.

I'd take it off. It seems visually unbalancing.

Edit: Or mount some lights up there.

I feel like that whole basket should go back a few inches, which would line up the fairings for aerodynamics/fuel efficiency

I agree, but it's mounted on the most forward spot it could go. I was hoping they would line up. I've had the crossbars forever, with the fairing, and added the basket today.

Just keep throwin' money at it.

I say get rid of the lower fairing. Take the rack and basket off. Flip the brackets upside down, and run the crossbars through the basket. It will make the basket sit 2-3" lower and help with the wind/looks. I did this on a 4runner I had a few years ago. I don't remember if I had to modify the brackets at all, but it made it sit way lower.

Changed vol/tune knobs to green from white. Super easy just used some green light filters. Matches the OEM green switches and steering controls.

Ha! True, but that's the housing at the base where I'm stationed in Louisiana.
