    My grandpa had a '60 black ford falcon, with the shifter on the column... which he wrapped around a bridge abutment the day after christmas in '76 :(

    that car was his baby. Don't think there was ever a water spot on it

    Thanks Dave. put him and grandma in the hospital and nursing home for 6 months. Those were the days before seat belts :( I wanted dad to take a pic of the car, but he wouldn't do it... said it would upset us too much :eek:

    my grandparents had the very first car on the reserve we are from (a bit of interesting useless info :eek:)

    sadly they sold it because they didnt know how to drive a stick shift

    Why didn't they learn? His was an on the column shift... never have figured out how to drive one... Janie said it was easy. She had one on one of the first truck she drove.

    Me, as well. Wonder how those three guys are doing from the wreck someone posted info about a week or so ago... They came out by far the worst of any of the other wrecks that we've heard about anyway.

    Thankfully most of them aren't too serious.
