You really dont think hes signing with the leafs? lol, he would have stayed in TB if not, thats the best place for him. I know a guy who owns 3 banks in the UK and hes said he has heard from solid sources that the leafs have talked to him for over a year. Also said stamkos wanted the leafs to look at getting Smith from Arizona because they are buddies but apparently that didnt happen. I believe the guy, knew him for 6 + years and he never lied about anything. We will see next week I guess

Well he is worth millions and makes many deals with business people on Ontario. Been around people who run mlse a lot too. The guy is solid. Flew a group of 10 of us our to a game this year actually and paid for everything, then did the same for a Marlies playoff game that I missed and they all hung out with the tsn crew. Would have been sweet

One of my dads friends hangs out with Brain Burke. It doesn't mean he knows shit though about what EXACTLY the Flames are doing lol. He gets hints but never insider info. If your buddy is getting a leak, which I doubt, the Leafs need to plug it. The fines from the league for talking to Stamkos are probably future crippling, like 1st round pick loses crippling.

It's not about proof. It's more that with how dicey it would be for the Leafs to talk to Stamkos before they are allowed to under the CBA, they would have to be retarded to tell a banker. If they are that stupid we are fucked and Shanny will need to plug even more leaks.
