Yea. It was the dealer's service van. I think it was only a 15 min drive from the airport. If you can fly out of LAX, they have Phoenix deals all the time. Ontario has them too, but not as cheap and you have to book 2 weeks in advance to get a deal.

Sounds like some of you have had better luck with the Costco program on 3rd Gen trucks. I tried, but the dealer told me they don't work with Costco on Tacomas or Tundras. Was pretty bummed. This was as of June 2016.

Might just be Costco So Cal Dealers. Its basically a SoCal problem. To some it ain't worth a 6 our drive. To me, it was. And it turned out to be a good story.

When I was shopping. I tried them all. I got better quotes by myself than with a buying program.

I assume you paid TDA on top of that? I highly doubt they waved the TDA in socal at 150 over invoice.

I bought my truck 7 months ago. If I had waited 6 months to save 800 dollars, which seems like the best discount now being given after TDA is added, it puts me behind the yearly payment if I keep the truck for 10 years vs 9 years and 5 months. I'm glad I bought early. The wait for such a small price difference didn't feel like it would be worth it.

He replied and said its $622 TDA. So about $772 over invoice.

Oh, I looked and didn't see him reply. I paid 1500 over invoice and no TDA. I have to rationalize my early purchase....

Well you enjoy it for longer than the rest of us. I just put Lund 5" side steps for mine just so I don't ruin the seat sliding out of the seat.

I sit so close to the steering wheel that I have to slide out of the seat anyway

I got 500 off msrp on my 7568 from Cathedral City Toyota's Internet department in December. That's no special deal from Costco

I understand. I've seen bigger discounts but most people are still paying thousands over msrp on lesser models so it does help.

I thought Costco was invoice. $500 off msrp. is nothing. That can be had on any vehicle that is 30k plus.

Tustin was only willing to take $500 off of msrp for me. I obviously didn't buy from them. The best deal I found in SoCal was $1000 off.

Wow! You got some negotiating skills. Lower than invoice? What's the secret? Let me know the salesman, so I can get a quote.

I ended up at $2300 off including tda but had to go out of state. Dealers in SoCal have a supply and demand problem especially on 4x4's so most people bite the bullet and pay what the dealers are asking.

Really? That sucks. I thought that was their thing. I have read of people getting it for invoice. But then again no one is showing too much proof. I have read about 3 people who went through Manhattan Toyota via Costco to order their Taco and got it for invoice. I guess I'll know for sure when it is my time to buy.

This guy nor the dealer are a part of the Costco program! This guy appears to not be truthful! I'm sure Costco would be interested in knowing that a car dealer in OC, Tustin, is using their name in regard to cheating customers... Companies have sued for A LOT less... Be expecting a call...

The Costco buying program negotiates the prices with each individual dealer. The prices will vary from different areas. Some dealers told me that they were not going to offer Costco pricing on the Tacoma. Others said no Costco pricing on 4x4's. I finally found a dealer in San Diego and they would do $1000 off but it still didn't seem like a good enough deal. Doing my own leg work proved that I could find a better deal. I'm sure in other areas where there is better inventory of trucks the Costco program would be just fine and the prices would be more reasonable.
