I don't know total number of TRD Pro being made for 17.

On this forum alone, 8-9 people are trading in their 16 for their 17. Nationwide, I have no clue.

As far as how you judge us, that is your prerogative. My coworker bought a new AMG GT. Ordered Tacoma is good for me. World is a fun place, when we have choices. :)

Not judging at all, we all have our things, I buy new MX bike every other year, we all have our thing. But you cannot argue its not the smartest financial choice, but its your money, no worries. And they will be making pros for a long time, I assure you there will be no shortage, too much money in it for Toyota. Definitely a nice truck, enjoy. Personally I would wait for the MSRP before I ordered one or would build an OR/SR5 thats comparable, but I live on a peanut salary compared to some of you guys.

So the decision to trade my '14 when I did is coming back to haunt me. I took that beating with a smile and I'm still more then glad I did but SWMBO would kill me if I made that move again. :ballchain:

LOL, congrats OP! We are all mostly just jealous.

Congrats! In a few months I'll be the proud owner of a '17 T4R Pro. Can't wait.

Just wait a few years and it will be available on the base models too. I personally don't get the rationale of trading a 16 for a 17 pro. The juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze. Might as well mod your truck with the extra money to make it better than a pro. Maybe if it came with a v8 or numbers similar to a Colorado I might have more interest. The bashing of someone willing to pay for it though is kind of dumb. If people want to spend their money on a pro after buying a 16 its up to them. After all I never thought I would spend what I did on a Tacoma.

R they gonna make the pro as a stick shift? Would much rather have the 4.3 gears for offroad and decent tires than the auto tranny gears.
And yeah, trading a new and lifted 2016 for a 2017 is definitely not gonna earn you that CFA designation haha but if nobody did this shit Toyota would have to hire some better marketing folks...
That said, some of the most fun I've ever had definitely made my wallet cry too hehe
