A little of this and a little of that.
I got my OME hat today. Oh yeah, there were other boxes with suspension parts and such.
Thank you Low-Range and Ramon for all the hard work on this GB!

I did use new ubolts. I got them from wheelers, I believe they are 6.75 inch. They came w washers and tall nuts.

Wow we didn't have to do that! Mine just pressed on by hand or a nudge w a hammer

I don't have the exact specs on hand, but it's somewhere around .25" longer IIRC. There is a thread on here with pre and post lift OME specs so you could find someone with a hard topper and 885/887 springs and see what they got for measurements.

You shouldnt have to press that hard, you put the bushings in first, then the steel insert ,it looks like you are trying to do it with the inner sleeve in place, you do that afterward.
I have done at least 25 OME kits and have never had to use anything but a small tap of a mallet to get everything in.

From what I learned yesterday/ today there are no replacement shackle bushings just leaf spring bushings. WHY they give you 2 extra sets is beyond me.... I tried replacing both sets on the shackle to no avail it ONLY took 10 hours and 3 were spent doing this here GRRRR lol tried everything but ended up putting the old bushing in. So I need a new bushing on the one side....BUT on another note the lift is done and it looks great on 285/70/r17s with 887 coils and all pro UCA's happy happy happy hope this helps somebody else

Soo, I'm deployed at the moment and all of my kit came in... I want to do this right and I have some time buffered in to keep me from being impatient, so what else should I get with this kit to ensure I don't have any issues. I bought the 2005+ Toyota Tacoma Old Man Emu Suspension Kit, Stock/Light Load, and figure I would be best off getting UCAs and I've heard getting bumpstops would be another good addition if I want to be thorough. If you all have any suggestions or additions, let me know.

What would you do if you ordered an ome light kit, but while it was on it's way here you got a plate bumper, sliders, and skids?

See if someone wants to trade 885s for 886s springs or buy 886s springs outright and sell your 885s.

Alright, I wasn't sure if the struts from the light kit would be to soft for 886s
