Have any 2016 TRD Sport owners modified their hood scoop to be functional? Looking for ideas/inspiration for this. Love how it looks, hate how it's useless...

what is functional to you? ram air to intake box or just letting air into engine bay? the first option would require some time to measure the available space if any and mock up an intake tube.

Air to intake is what I had in mind. Wondering if anyone has done it yet, would like to see what they came up with before I put too much time and effort into my own imagination..

Yeah it looks great and would seem to work with a K&N cold air intake but what about when it rains? Does anyone know how much water goes through that scoop?

If the aerodynamics of the 3rd Gen are anything like the 2nd Gen, there is hardly any air flow over the hood in that location. Not enough to justify the project. I will find the post with the air flow results for 2nd Gens.
