I just purchased husky weather beaters for my 16' double cab auto trans. The fronts seem to be alright but the rear mats are a bit short on both sides.. do these things stretch out or something? They advertise laser fit but it seems far from it.

Maybe you have the wrong part number? I have them in the rear of my double cab and they fit perfectly.

    Post a pic.

Are they specific to 16? Did the tranny hump or something else change from 15?

The rears on my husky floor mats is slightly wide, but that could be due to me misplacing it slightly.

My husky x-act contours fit really, really well.

Since the rears are the same price for x-act and weatherbeater (or, at least they were on Amazon when I purchased)... any chance you can return yours?

    That's Husky.

We got them for our Outback because they were a little cheaper than Weathertechs and advertised perfect laser fit, yada yada yada. Yet we have a similar fit problem--they're off by almost 1/2" (too narrow). I called Husky and they acted like they didn't know what was going on but at least they sent us a replacement. The replacement had the exact same sloppy fit as the first ones. For the price, Husky sucks.

Ended up getting Weathertechs for my Tacoma. Zero problems with the fit or performance.

    Will never buy Huskies again.

That's exactly how mine fit in my 15 DC. The edge being up on the sill like that prevents filth from dropping in an accumulating on the carpet. The fronts also overlap the sill just a bit, not quite as much as the rears.

The fit everywhere is fine, and their flexibility allows them to conform over time better than the stiff Weathertechs.

Yeah those are the ones I have too but mine overlap the edges by at least an inch and fit perfectly everywhere else.

That's a good point with the doors closed it essentially sits flush? Maybe just my OCD but mathe they are purposely supposed to sit like that

This is the exact way that mine look and I hate it. I got the husky weatherbeaters for the rear because they have the diamond-plate-like tread design over the transmission hump and I thought that they may have better traction for rear seat passengers climbing across. Now I wish I'd gotten x-act fit for the rear. I have x-act fits in the front and they fit perfectly! Did you get anything figured out, or did you send them back?

In fact, mine are actually a little worse fitting than that...they sort-of wrinkle up half the time. I left a 2x6 on edge on top of them for two weeks (only when truck was parked ;) ) to flatten it out, but it didn't keep the shape and never did stretch out to fit.
