People are hiding cash in their microwaves as Sweden gets closer to being the first cashless society with negative interest rates

Remember, Sweden is the place where, if you use too much cash, banks call the police because they think you might be a terrorist or a criminal.

If banks charge customers negative interest rates in a cashless society, those customers are not able to withdraw their money as cash to shield it under their putative mattresses. Consumers' only choice in such a scenario is to spend it or let the bank take it. (The theory is that by forcing people to spend cash rather than save it, you can spur economic growth.)

So Sweden may become the first country whose citizens may have to accept negative interest rates (probably in the form of higher bank charges or fees) or be forced to spend their money to "save" it from those rates.

Sounds like bond curve is starting to flatten out so the crash could be coming in the next 12 months....

Wow this Greg guy is dead on, the banks control everything and even found a way to move the price of oil! What power! I don't know why I'm not following him, I mean who cares that all his predictions for stock market crashes over the last 2 years haven't come to fruition, it's bound to happen. Surprise, surprise. Fed doesn't raise rates, AGAIN, against their original projection.

 

Yeah, they can't raise rates, we all know this...

They never really raised rates in December, the net change was very minimal not the .25 point they claimed...

Not much new news out there...

More billionaires going short and getting out of the market...

More talk of this fall being the big start....

The schemata ends in fall so It would be weird if something didn't happen by fall.... But we'll see....

Surprise surprise the market hasn't fallen or "crashed" either as some of these tin foil hat commentators have been promising for over a year!

 

Maybe we need more videos of the crashing dollar, replacement of the USD as the global currency? Or maybe how silver and gold will surge to new heights instead of losing money for the last year and a half? We can only hope, until then PMs will be relegated to taking a backseat to 0% money market accounts.

 

The market isn't going to 'crash', it is going to 'correct' to fair market value.

This hasn't happened yet because manipulation. All real economic data points to negative circumstances, however as long as companies buy back their own stock and the Fed buy's back Corp bonds, the market will continue to be propped up. Along with it being an election year, the Fed doesn't want to rock the boat.

Hey any fool can see we are in trouble, so it's not hard to see, just when it will happen is the hard part....

If they are to meet their time line, something need to happen by fall....

The last crash was right before the election.......

Are they going to follow their time line or keep it going???

I'm starting to think that if most of the market is owned by fed money, I don't know if they are allowed to take the money out or short the market...
So it comes down to how much is owed buy fed money...

The same reason Apple can't go higher, there is only so much money....
The same with the market, all the money is in so it can't go higher with out massive printing...

So it can only stay flat until something happens....

It is much more likely the market drops than goes up from here...
They will make a lot more money if the market corrects than stays flat or goes up a little....

So I see interest rates on home loans are going to drop. Precious metals should continue to push higher....

What repercussions will we see from this? Another recession here? Silver is still a great buy here at $17+/oz

 

I don't know what will happen but this is the beginning of the end for the EU...

SO if the EU falls apart that should help the US if we get our spending under control...

But I would think PMs will start taking off again....

And if could be trouble for some big banks....

I will keep buying silver up to 30 so at 17 its a steal....

My normal future investing price is 125-250 an oz in todays dollars, my conspiracy price is much higher....

It's a steal up to 30 and ok up to 50... with physical you need to make 3-4 times your money to make the hassle worth it....

Ya, I never thought this was coming. I knew the markets were due for a correction but in terms of how, I wouldn't have guessed that it was because Britex.

So what's your plan at this point in time?

My dad's into treasuries now, and going to be looking at banking stocks as the take a hit, and restructuring his home loan as we could see all time lows for fixed 30 year loan...
