They are more flexible, but they aren't flapping in the wind flexible if you know what I mean. There is a portion of the mud flap you can cut off in order to get a lot of clearance in the wheel well for over sized tires. I can take a better picture for you later today of how they installed on the front if you want!

Get Sumo springs, you can't go wrong! but yes this has been a problem since the 2nd gens came out. we all thought it was fixed with the introduction of the 4 leaf system in 2012, but still an issue.

Thank you! I took them off and am going to sell them. I did take out the TPMS and switch them to my new wheels.

I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
My tachometer just started doing this. Going up and down. It "catches" like that. Some days it does, some days it's fine. I'm coming up on 10K and adding to the list of things to checkout. My speedo doesn't do it.

    For a quick visualization.

Let's make a poor, but worst-case assumption that your truck's center of gravity is located at the roofline (it's likely 1/3 of the way up the cab, closer to the bottom).
Draw an imaginary line lengthwise (front to back) that goes through this point.

For your truck to roll, this point has to get past the outer edge of your wheels.

If you didn't want to roll the truck, then don't swerve, then overcompensate in the other direction. The back and forth will get you in trouble in a hurry.

For a quick visualization. This video illustrates that almost rolling can be a fun pastime and one should not be afraid.
You just have to know your trucks limitations. Now go and just drive. You'll be fine:D.

You could not give me a set of Nittos, I had the trail grapplers on my 4runner and they dry rotted in less than 2 years. $1300 worth of tires and Nitto would not even talk to me in regards to it. So maybe my shitty luck or a shitty product. Either way I will never buy another set.

got my black widow venom 250 installed last night and for $100 I must say I am very happy with the results. a nice low throaty tone with very little ricey tuner sound lol I would highly recommend for anyone on the fence about just getting a muffler installed. i'll try to get some video clips of the exhaust tonight.

Thought I would finally post a few things I've done now that I finally made it through all of this mess. I have done Icon stage 4 suspension, FN Countersteer wheels with 285/75/16 Duratracs. Bed rack with Highlift, and shovel mounts, as well as the ability to carry 20 gallons of additional fuel. Tepui Autana ruggedized RTT. Inside I have mounted the ham radio, and ARB fridge. Of course there are some of the standard mods like debadging and led interior, license plate, and reverse lights. Getting ready to head out next weekend for about 10 days and can't wait to test her out! image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

My buddies got a silver 2016 WRX! If I could afford it, I'd have one too. I just needed(wanted) a truck more. Man do I miss turbos and tight handling though.

Weird... I havent tried to log in in a while, but just tried and it wont let me... Wont let me reset the password either.... I get an email saying password successfully changed but still cant log in.... I called 800-331-4331 and they reset the password but it still didnt work.

I still had an account for my last Tacoma, I had trouble logging into that account back in Jan, so i emailed them back then and they sent me a new temp password, i could log into that one using the temp password but not the password i changed it to, so ill just use that account with the temp password they gave me, and i deleted the old truck out and added the one i have now.

More people should call that are having issues. If they get enough calls maybe they will look into the problem and fix the issue.

Sorry to hear that. I could understand not getting any more of them. I have a couple buddies they use them but neither has complained... Then again im not sure how long they had them either. Ill do more research if i go to buy more tires to make sure its not just a shitty tire. Good thing there are plenty of tire options out there LOL
