    Hey Max,

I appreciate that you liked my post, but you have been hovering recently. You told us the snorkels are at port, x-rayed, but no news since.

This isn't a container of milk. He's dealing with Unions in a port. He has to get said container on a truck out of the port to get the snorkels into his living room for the photo shoot.

When they xray it its usually on the back of a truck already and they pull through the big machine.

When getting an xray at the port they charge the customer around $300 which is BS.

Seems to me it would have been a lot faster and cheaper to send them by air. Shipping containers themselves are not cheap

Got ya. Seems they would xray as they pull them off the boat but what do I know...

I'm sure he's working his ass off to get that photo shoot setup with all those orange bags in his living room.

In Vancouver they usually put them through the scanner on a truck right after the crane unloads them. The crane basically moves the container onto a small truck, the truck moves the container to a storage area, and on the way it goes through the microwave oven (xray machine). Once that's done the container sits around until transportation is arranged and the import paperwork is cleared up. Some containers sit for months. However OP seems to have a simple container and someone working on it for him so it should clear relatively quickly. I'd still expect at least a week or two though before it shows up at his place.

Well it's been 2 months and 1 week since my money has been sent...this has taken longer than my custom made bumpers and sliders haha

I appreciate all that max has done but this is kinda excessive expecially since these exact snorkels are in the US ready to be sold and shipped within a few days.

Im not hating on max just hating on this slow process

What we do for a deal sometimes right. For me it would have cost me a shit ton more being in Canada. I am essentially getting it at the normal price once shipping and exchange is done

Same. On a local forum a guy right now is trying to get people to buy into a dealership that is doing an order on ARB snorkels. They want $800 CAD for them AS A DEAL. Lol. I can wait for my snorkel a little longer at less than half the price.

Bingo. Group buys have been the only way I could have shit for a reasonable price for my truck. Like you said everything else is either double or triple what it should. Atleast the arb snorkel could double as a storage shelf it's so big lol.

Yeah the design of the ARB seems prone to damage to me as well. It's so bulbous that it's likely to take a few good smacks on a tight trail. I don't care how amazing their material is. That shit will break eventually.

Lol yeap. For us in the US this same snorkel is only $25 more than the group deal plus free shipping...and they are in stock in the US....but I have to say if it weren't for max and the group buy I prob wouldn't have pulled the trigger as soon as I did....it wasn't a money issue, I was just really excited
