I like both and have gone back and forth as well.... the place I went only had the diamond mesh and I like it, but I also like the other stuff as well I'd like to see grille's with both posted side by side so I can decide. If I do the satoshi and Jameoshi, then I can have one of each

get the bigger hole perf sheet. It comes in different sizes.

 

^^^ I can't see where it would be as big an issue for you as it would be for him... It doesn't warm up where you live nearly as much as it does in mexizona.

Now that I thnk about it, I think he only had the THIN stuff, like .032 and I wanted something a little thicker for the round perforated material. the diamond was alot thicker. I'm not sure what the other guys are using, though.

 

i think someone actually used chicken wire at one point and it turned out ok.

 

I want something a little more substantial than chicken wire

 

I do have some 1/2" welded wire I could use

i will likely pick up something in the .032-.05 gauge, not too thin or thick

 

I'm looking to the .050 to .070 for aluminum. I think the .032 is too thin, just my .02. I've used alot of it for aircraft parts and it just seems too thin for covering the grille. Unless you're talking stainless or other steel, but aluminum is too thin.

 

sorry ya i am looking at steel mesh. didnt think of trying to find aluminum
