FYI, there are toe measurements that can be disturbed changing out rr leafs even tho the leafs bolt to specific places and axle has pins to sit on. I have already replaced my shit leafs with some 2015 6 clip 4 leaf oem packs that are the same as the recall ones they are putting on and when I had new tires put on recently and alignment done by tire shop my rr toe was extra negative on one side and positive on the other meaning I didn't tighten the rr axle down square. Wasn't enough to make it crab down the road or pull but was clearly off. Too much negative toe on driver side and positive toe on passenger side. It wasn't like that the last time alignment was done before replacing leafs and getting new tires. When I replace my UCAs soon, I will be having the alignment shop loosen the ubolts out back and have them tweak axle one way or the other on the pins and retighten to get toe back square on rr end. That is why alignment is part of this recall.

Yes. I'm in Louisiana. I just got mine back a few hours ago. I got my letter on Monday, called the dealer on Tuesday and they said they already had the parts in stock and to bring it in this morning. No inspection needed.

No issues at all and it's a HUGE improvement in ride quality over the non TSB springs. That and the constant squeaking is gone.

BTW, my truck is at stock height with 5100s all around.

I'm in South Florida and just had mine changed out two weeks ago. Went from a 2 +1 to a 3+1 set up.

Posted in another thread, but this one was more helpful.
My current AAL is cracked and I am hoping if I buy new ones and bring them with me to the dealership for the recall replacement, they will hopefully just install em no charge.
I'm in Colorado going through Mountain States Toyota, they seem very willing to work with anyone's situation. The tech pointed out my cracked AAL.
Hopefully everything works out, can't afford to lose ride height, even temporarily, because of my 295/75-R16 Toyo OC tires.
    Stay tuned...

Here is what they did to mine. I just called the dealership, gave them my vin# and they said yep yours is recalled. They called and let me know when the leafs were in and then I made an appointment. Took about 1 1/2 hours. I read on here before hit the bolts with some pb blaster before you take it in and the techs will love ya. They put on everything but the bilsteins. I also got the extra leafs but they are kind of flat. I haven't added my aal yet. I'm at 1.75 in the front and have a little Cali rake going...

That looks "normal" for dealership work. What's the problem?

At 56, my plain sight is waning I guess.....I see the silhouette of it now squinting and such. Blended into the tire upon initial glance. Yeah, mine won't be going in. Bought some dude's 2015 6 clip 4 leaf low mileage packs and just did them myself before all the recall stuff got going. I'll be going the reimbursement route.............

I got a similar reply from Toyota Rancho Santa Margarita. I called and told the guy that I had an AAL installed he said no problem we just order the parts and install and it would be no problem to add the aal again. He spoke with the head tech to try and get pricing for me for the aal install, and apparently the tech said they just had a district meeting a few days prior stating that if there is any rear suspension mods they will instantly deny work even if parts have come in. They can only do it if I get it back to stock which they won't do even if I attempted to pay them to do it. Seems like they are trying to do everything not to get it done.

So I dropped my truck off for inspection today regarding the spring recall. Can they come back and tell me everything is ok. Or do they have to eventually replace my springs. Is there a legal thing. If they say it is ok should I ask for something in writing signed by Toyota. Or should I just play the legal card and say driving my kids around all the time and my wife who is a lawyer that sues people (That part is true) I want my springs replaced. Can they say no?

They can if you have the correct amount of clips on your springs. I wouldn't go throwing out the legal card right away. I know some dealerships are fully of assholes. But not all. Just take the normal steps if they say no for some reason.

Just got the phonecall from the dealer saying that the leaf springs are fine. And they can not do a replacement until a recall becomes official they say it is good to go as is. But Toyota might still change the recall notice to include it at a future date. Sounds like bull shit to me but I will at least get them to give me something in writing that it is good to go as is.

My springs started making noise for the first time yesterday after I unhooked a trailer so I think i'm gonna make an appointment and have them inspected. They are making a lot of noise now if I stand on the tail gate and force the truck up and down.

 Not sure how much more official the recall will become. It is in fact an ongoing safety recall.
