A decent little bit, but not a mechanic by any stretch.

ok. lets see what you think. got an old weedeater from my dad. replaced all fuel lines and primer bulb, fresh gas and she cranked right up and ran for about 2 weekends of work (~4 hours or so all out) well now I cant get fuel to the primer bulb period. the filter is brand new in the tank so I don't think that's clogged, the carb may be shot but that shouldn't stop the bulb from filling right?

Maybe air in the line? That's the only thing that comes to mind right away, but kinda doubtful if it ran for two weekends already.

Also, does it have a fuel filter or one of those little screens that might be clogged up?

haha oh yea its got gas. a hose has come loose once already, but I put her back on and she cranked right back up after re-priming the lines.

theres plenty of air in the lines lol I have no clue of how to get the air out besides pumping the bulb. which doesn't seem to be doing a very good job.

What model is it, maybe we can find a breakdown of the fuel system and see if there is a purge valve or something
    ?

well damnit! that sucker is brand new! I even coddled the little bastard from the mailbox to the back yard so I didn't break a nipple on it haha. it is weird that it looks and feels like its functioning perfectly, just little to no fuel is being moved to it. MAYBE a trickle. I push it, it depresses, I release, it fills with whatever was in the line. air and a tine bit of fuel. I guess Ill pull the filet back out and make sure its not messed up somehow.

I don't see any kind of purge system, so if it is air in the line you could pull the line lose and pump a little gas out of it to flush the air out.

ill give that a try while I blindly start taking things apart on her this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if the carb diaphragm was all gommed up too. not that I think that anything to do with no fuel getting to the bulb. one repair at a time haha. at some point I have to figure out how to adjust idle because from the time you start it up, theres no need to use the trigger lol its just balls to the wall until you either shut her off or run out of fuel.
