Started my install. Got the relay mounted and wire through the fire wall and wired to the switch harness. Next is to test the light bar and make sure everything works. Fingers crossed.

The relay clicks and the switch light turns green or off when I press the button, but the light bar is always on. The relay is cracked, not sure if that's the problem or something else in the wire bundle.20160623_180321.jpg

Well looking at that picture the relay looks to be the problem. Sounds like it is trying to click power on and off to the LED, but something in there is obviously not working. Shoot me an email at chris@apexfabworks.com with this pic and your shipping info. I will have Cali Raised get a new LED to you ASAP.

Appreciate it. Didn't see an email in my box yet. Might want to double check. If I get it to them tonight, they will more than likely get you a new one out tomorrow!

Were these the only other things that came in the box? My box had a hole on it and the brackets were poking out. Just making sure nothing else could've fell out. Thanks!

That is it, and best news is you don't need any of that. The mounts came with new hardware for you and the rest of that is for generic mounting.

Nice just noticed the hardware in the box with the mounts. I also wired it up to make sure it lit up before i ran the wires. Thanks again to you and Cali Raised for this group buy.

Mictuning, you can get them from Amazon for about $11. Simple install, just pop out the factory blank cover in the dash, connect 3 or 4 wires( depending on if you want the lights in the switch to come on) and pop the new switch in place.

I just ordered one from Amazon last week and think it was $12.50. A lot of people complaining about the back light going out after a short time but I like the fact that it will look factory installed.

I read that too, and I've read that it is very bright to the point of being distracting, so I didn't bother wiring it in.

Which wire should I leave disconnected? I don't care anything about it being illuminated either.

There's 2 red wires with a yellow stripe (dumb), one is right next to the black wire, that's the one for illumination.

So that one gets left alone, black goes to black, red on the harness goes to green on the switch, then white on the harness goes to the red/yellow wire on the switch(that's next to the green wire)

Opened my box and found my relay smashed. With all the problems they have been causing I'm heading out to the local auto parts store to pick up a new one. Mounted it yesterday and hoping to wire it up this afternoon. I love it already.

If anybody is interested. Copied this quote from Jake in the Cali Raised thread. It looks like we have a 2 year warranty on the light. I couldn't find anything on the Cali Raised web site stating the length of the warranty.

Edit - not worried about the brackets, those will outlast any amount of lights you pair with them. Thanks again Chris for a great product.
