My '12 v6 pulled a P0351 code last week, mechanic "fixed" on Saturday by supposedly replacing what he said was ignition coil A. Then it pulled the same code again yesterday 5 days later, so in the shop today he says another coil went bad. It's still at the shop, so i'm awaiting his break down of which coil he says is bad this time... but a different coil would have pulled a different code, P0353 or P0354 and so on...

Judging by this diagram, the ignition coil A, which trips a P0351, should be the passenger front sitting over cylinder 1, correct? Coil B sits driver front above cylinder 2, coil C over cylinder 3 and so on... Correct?

I ask because the coil he replaced the first time was the driver side front coil, which looks here would be coil B... the wrong coil for a code P0351... I'm thinking he dun f***ed up so I want to call him out... if my thinking is correct.

You are correct! Some people get confused cause the v8's swap bank 1 and 2. But for the v6 that diagram is correct and so if your idea that he screwed up.
