the pink part is where the moldings were. Look at the bottom of that and you'll see the crack, that's on either side of the door

It should wipe right off the porcelain.
Your floor slopes towards to doorway? If it's level it looks like you would have a very high transition.

Did he tell you he would level the floor or make it flat?

I can't tell but I think he applied it right next to the toilet so if removing it that could be an issue.

Yes he was supposed to level it..and slopes to doorway.

I used self levelor once long ago and I remember pouring it then it seeks its own way. I saw him cleaning a trowel when he was leaving..is that a red flag?

Might it be better to use shims in another sheet over this? That's how my kitchen floor was done.

Ok. Take a wet rag wipe around the toilet.
It should come off. Toilet would be pulled and reinstalled for tile.

With out seeing your floor it's hard to tell. Sometimes a level floor it out of the question in older homes with out major work. In those cases flat is the goal. It looks like your floor slopespace considerably towards the doorway. And a 1"+ lip or threshold is very noticeable.

Also have you discussed any of this with the person who did the work?

I use a trowel to work it. Just dumping a whole bucket on the floor is a great way to end up with it in your hvac supplies and wall cavities

I got a little more done on the deck this week. Did the stairs, landing, and am working on the railings. Hope to be done this weekend.
Had to add framing on the deck and landing area to do the picture frame style decking but we'll worth it. I cut new stair stringers and put in lots of bracing and brackets. Also ran a 2x10 under the landing which was just cantelievered and had no support in the front right corner so I used concrete anchors to hang the 2x10 on a bracket. Getting there

I was using silkiflex self leveling caulk to seal some expansion joints on a concrete deck for animal kennels at a veterinary hospital. Used backing rod thought I had it sealed up.

Yup we are gonna tile eventually. It was level last year but roof and ice dam issue messed up the subflooring. Hence this mess.

I haven't yet tried to talk with him. Short version I'm almost better to wash my hands as it took 4 wks to get this small thing done. He's got some family shit right now which iam sympathetic to of course. I have a guy who's gonna install myshower so I think it better to deal with him for this. Just found him but he is extended family.

House is 85 yrs old, most of this room was added 15 yrs ago ifthat helps

Not sure it was the root cause but it damn sure didn't help. The damming caused water to run down the wall inside the room and that corner rotted..plus the middle of the floor was where the skylight leaked.

That corner of the back roof ends at the peak, doesn't have another side to it. That edge wasn't flashed. I'll have to get a pic of it

At my last job they used a leveling epoxy on the concrete floor, I don't remember the brand name, came back the next morning it had found a crack and ran down the basement wall. As luck would have it, it did seal the crack, one more application and done:thumbsup:

I'm in the market for a circular saw. I've decided to get a worm drive saw mainly due to the fact it's easier to cut line. Any good recommendations? Been looking at the Skil and Dewalt saws.
