Dads truck finally got the Ole Arb treatment! And had all 4 body mounts cut, fab'd and welded after finding rust behind them, better then new now!

 

What year Tacoma's does the frame rust warranty cover? I know Toyota is still shipping and replacing A LOT of frames across the country.

 

not sure of the situation, iv had techs tell me they don't do it anymore and that my dad missed the deadline, but then i see people on here getting new frames. We boxed in his frame and added way more metal then needed so his is gonna be fine now lol

that thing is long gone, if you dont mind having a cap repainted, craigslist has quite a few nice deals right now. or you could rock the Two-Tone look like i am lol

just spray it yourself if you have a compressor and if it turns out bad get a tinted bed liner and do it over...Redneck it

 

I just scuffed up a perfectly good chrome grill to rattle can it

 

The guy that bought my cap put it on a Black 06 DCLB TRD Sport with a 6" lift and black procomp wheels. He put black roll on bedliner over the perfectly matched indigo ink paint.

You could've had one that would've matched your truck and not looked hideous Matt....thats all on you dude.

There is that option. Or I might rattle can it, haven't decided yet. It's just gonna be a pain as some gel coated the cap at some point so it's not easy to refinish

Damn water pump went up in my Caddy today. Then after dis-assembly i found that the coolant crossover pipe is cracked where the Tstat mounts. These old caddy parts aren't easy to find either, sucks! But the bright side is while i was working on the caddy a guy i know called me to ask if i was still interested in buying his big block 67 el camino. It needs a radiator and his wife wanted it out of the driveway. Price was so cheap i ran right down and bought it. And he had his insurance co. tow it to my work at no cost to me.
