Well....this just got even more interesting.

 

Tacoma world has always been very good and sniffing out scams, especially ones that are brought right here to this forum.

 

This is wayyy to intense for me to handle....I've been trying to spot a difference between the two trucks for an hour now...

 

What's is the typical thickness expected of a steel off road bumper?

 

OPs truck shows step bars and eBay truck does not... However that's hardly conclusive of anything. They could have been removed after the profile pic.

Pretty fishy the OP would create this thread and buy one if he already had a AP bumper.

 

I'm not even in the market for a bumper right now and I read all 21 freaking pages....... props to the op for taking a chance on saving some money.... and creating the longest cliff hanging thread I've found so far in my short time on tw!

Maybe... but its more likely that the Ebay pic is a legit all pro bumper and someone stamped out the AP logo in photoshop. Might be weird jpeg compression, but the center looks a little weird and fuzzy.
Some people might be getting a box of bricks. Hopefully its not the case and they get something that resembles a bumper...
If I was gonna try and pull off a scam, I sure wouldn't invest much money into it.

Like I said tho, hopefully it's not the case. And TW members get a decent quality knockoff bumper.

 

I ended up buying Camburg uniball UCAs because of the same principle. AllPro copied their design. And imitation is the sincerest form of flattery according to them... I guess what goes around, comes around.
It is hard to be original now a days. Sometimes its not what you do, but how its done.

Still think the bumpers could be legit, but OP has some splainin to do when he gets back lol

 

Turns out OP also owns (or at least owned within the past few years) a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The company making these bumper also makes jeep products. Hmmmmmmm.
