You should be. Installing my lift this weekend and hope to fit the 275/70-17 as well. If mine turns out similar to yours I will be stoked.

Didn't drive much on the stock wheel/tire set up but from what I can tell, I lost ~2.5mpg but that doesnt account for the odometer reading being slightly off for the larger tire. So maybe 2mpg loss. (that's all city driving - have not drove it on a long freeway trip yet)

 

Just wondering why you didn't go w 285s?

 

What steps are those ? Predator steps? N Fab?

 

Had 285's on my last 2 tacomas. Thought 275's would help with gas mileage (averaged ~13.8mpg with my last truck) and rubbing. I had to carefully trim my last truck and it still rubbed everyone once in a while when turning at full lock while backing up (such as out of my driveway). So far, no rubbing with 275's even with mud flaps. Didn't figure the 1/2" of tire height was worth the headache again.

Steps are from Avid Off Road.
