My rear shock # ends with an R on the drivers side and L on the passenger side. hmmm is that correct? I can find anything in the documentation / install guide, but my common sense say it may be incorrect , then again, the toilets in Australia swirl the opposite direction and their deer run around on two feet, so maybe I'm missing something

Do the shocks come with a different weight spec from D to Pass side? Hoping they are identical

So our rear shocks are installed on the wrong side? Wonder if that matters. Can you ask ARB USA when you contact them? @Sandman614

You would think if it was very important they would mention it in the install guide or the docs that come with the kit, which it doesnt, I just looked again . That said, my OCD is going to have to have this corrected. Also you saw my earlier post in which the incorrect bolt was used at the bottom eye, so I'm going back to the shop anyway, and they are going to have to remove the bolt, which means jacking up the truck to release the weight, so that will be an easy time to swap the shocks.....

On the phone now, Eric in the tech department doesn't really know. "Could be just the guard or the side of the shock the resi port is on". It didn't concern him that they were installed backwards, and they are sending me a new Driverside (R in my case) shock with a return label for the leaker. The passenger side has been dry the last 2 times I checked it, so they said to keep an eye on it. I am going to URE again this weekend so we'll see if some more exercise makes oil show. If that ones leaks they will replace it as well.

    Their concerns were:
-Could be factory assembly oil, but the oil comes back after washing and drying
-Maybe the fittings are loose, if the oil originated from the fittings

Well I am gad to hear they are sending a new shock. I spoke with Eric as well when getting my shipping info, seems like a good guy with a sharp sense of humor as well

Is there a designation on the fronts that have a R or L on it? Looking don't see

i looked all over mine and it doesn't look like there is any easy marking. the boxes were labeled L and R so I went with that, but I think it may be possible to install them on either side as long as the resi can be positioned correctly

Sorry was out at URE today continuing to break in the other 3. I have to say I definitely believe this shock is leaking (same one as before)..

anyone measure their hub to fender? Looks like i'm around 23 in the grass, so i'll have to find a parking lot. overall it does look a little lower than the 886's with trim packers and top plate spacers...but it sucks up bumps soooooo well.

So. I had Mule look at my shocks. Mule called ARB. ARB stated that there is a lubricant that is used in the manufacturing process. This lubricant becomes very viscous when heated (activation of the shock) and will seep out if there is an excess amount. I also met Bob from ARB at the Northwest Overland Rally and he confirmed the same. The shock was cleaned off and instructions giving to look for further seeping.
After two trail runs and several highway miles, I see no further seeping.
Also, if you plan on checking the pressure fir variances between shocks, be aware that the pressure exceeds 300 lbs and is thought to be around 500 lbs.

That's what they thought mine was, "assembly lube". After this last excursion I believe it to be a leak lol.

That sucks. I know that will take care of it but it's the install that you end up having to redo.

When checking mine you could feel a heavy sticky grease on the braided lines. Couldn't get it to blot on tissue paper but I could feel it on my hands.

    Great ingenuity.

But OME needs to come up with a better mount for the front cans. Thats a horrible spot for them. That 90 degree bend should be away from the frame not over it.
