for some reason my truck does not have good acceleration at first i didnt think much of it because it moved lol and it got me where i needed to go but. then i drove my mom car and relized the day and night diffrence in acceleration. I have 01 tacoma she has a 01 altima both are 4 cylinder but her accleration is way more better then mine. what could be the reason for me not getting good accleration? i just replace the o2 sensor and maf sensor about 2 weeks ago i been getting beter gas milage but still no more acceleration.

Mostly from the laws of physics. Your mom's car has a better power-to-weight ratio.
For the same reason, most stock motorcycles will have better acceleration better than mom's car.

As long as it's running smoothly, no misses or hesitation, then it's probably fine. A 4 cylinder tacoma is no speed demon, I speak from experience.

That car has about 15 more hp and weighs less. How to solve? Without going with boost adding a header and exhaust seems to make the 4 bangers noticably more peppy.

My 2.7l 4x4 is the slowest, most underpowered vehicle I have ever owned. But it's a 4x4 truck that averaged 9.5l/100km last tank (just about 25 US MPG) so I don't care.

My 2.7l feels like a sports car compaired to the 2.3l Ranger i had in high school.

a lean condition under high fuel demands at high rpms/open throttle is the first symptom. For how cheap and easy it is to replace its just aswell to change.

4cly is not a walk in the park like the v6. The filter is located under the intake.

I pulled my upper plenum to do it, but i still had to use a 2ft extension through the wheel well to get the lower bracket bolt off. I got really lucky and was able to thread it back in doing the same method. Some leave that bolt out because they cannot get it threaded.

Some dont pull the plenum, but i couldnt see how...
