Since I didn't have the 3000k yellow LED Kits at the time, I finally put one in so people could see the color on them.

Got mine in the mail yesterday! I cannot wait to get these installed this weekend. Did we ever get a "How-to" on modifying the dust boot for second gens?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

I've PM'd him a couple of times, I think he's just been real tied up.

image.jpg Pretty crazy difference. Very easy install. Haven't done the fogs yet. Those may be a challenge.

How did you install the driver side bulb? I don't want to force it in, but it doesn't seem to want to fit.

It went in pretty easy. Just put the bulb in the hole and push it in slowly. Then it will have the clearance to sit straight in

I just took my truck out for a drive to make sure the lights didn't need to be adjusted. The lows looked fine and were about what I expected. They threw light further than my stock lights but had a more useful color being that it is a white light. The high beams blew my mind. When I turned them on it looked like daylight. Totally impressed so far. I'm going to install my fogs tomorrow and will check back in.

You can adjust the beam pattern a little bit by using the allen key that came in the package to turn bulb. typically you want the led's to be on the left and right though. aiming your headlights will help a lot too.

It takes a little finesse and patience to get in. Get it partially in the hole then adjust accordingly slowing pushing it in. Its a tighter fit on that side but it does go in.

    Thanks
    Ryan

The kits are waterproof as well, so no concerns with them getting wet.

I received my kit on Saturday and waited until dark to install them. Here are my notes:

    1. If your light is going all over the place, rotate the bulb's base (the silver round end of the bulb). It has ball detents that will somewhat keep it in place. See the pic with the red arrow for bulb base. I had to adjust one of the bulbs.

    2. I had to aim my headlights way down compared to stock. The bulbs do throw a lot more light but the scattered beam up top was much higher than it should have been. You can see the differences once I aimed the headlights. To aim the headlights, you will see an 8mm bolt on the headlight. For the driver headlight, it will be to the right and slightly lower of the bulb if you are standing looking towards the rear of the truck. It will be the opposite side for the passenger side. Turn clockwise, like you're tightening a bolt, to lower the headlight beam.

    3. To modify the dust boot, you will want to cut the portion where the square rubber blocks lead to the bulb grip. It's hard to explain. See the pic for details. I used wire snips. They cut the rubber much easier than a knife. You should be able to stretch the rubber around the base and rectangular box of the bulb. Push the rubber over the base so the boot sits naturally.

    4. The ignitor boxes get super hot. Make sure that when you zip tie them in, they're not touching other wires or hoses that might melt.

    5. The bulb base has a cooling fan I guess cuz it sounds like mini turbines in my engine bay now. haha.

The only downside so far is that I now may need to upgrade my fogs to match :p. Then again, I don't normally check out my truck from the outside while the lights are on, so I may just for get about it.

There was torrential rain here today and I drove through it with my lights on. No problems with the lights at all.:bananadance:

Excellent product and customer service. Thanks again Ryan!

Great post. Although your comment about the scatter is a bit unnerving. Have you noticed other driver's seem annoyed?

I haven't driven at night. Just make sure you take note of your stock beam cutoff against a wall (I used my neighbor's house) and align the LED beam to that.
