That is the OEM rack with some Dakine pads added for surfboards, etc. The crossbars store front to back when not using the rack. When you need to use the rack, the bars pivot across and snap in place. This is great for reducing wind noise and drag when driving at high speeds.

Thank you. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have a 2" lift using Bilstein 5100s front and back. Fronts are set at .85. Deaver tri-pack AAL in the rear. The tires are BFG A/T ko2 265/70/17. No rubbing. I am considering moving up to 275/70/17 when these wear out.

I got it from the parts department at my dealership. I got a $250 credit voucher for doing the test drive before buying my truck. You can surely find this for cheaper through Amazon or eBay. I think mine were around $350 before the credit.

Actually tourist mostly stay on highway 1, once you get up away from the scenic highway and onto the dirt road its really nice up there. Been going up there for years, use to be better back then (roads not blocked). Just beware that during the deer season camps get taken by hunters:infantry: and will be hard to come by. (Google A-zone deer season). Those who like to camp should have Tom Stienstra's camping book. He has listed all those hidden gem camp spots..
Jill, put this trip on your to-do list:canada:

Sweet I'll definetly check that book out, been trying to find some camping spots but since it's summer everywhere I go has been packed. i live about an hour away from Yosemite but it's been hard to find spots/information on locations away from the touristy parts, definetly been wanting to put that 4x4 to use a lot more!

Went back out to a place called Triple Creek with some buddies. Had a great time and they were all very impressed with how capable the Taco is. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires are really working great. Got into some pretty deep, nasty mud and it just walked on through. I'm going to push my luck and limits a little further next time out. This is only my 3rd time to ever wheel and I see why so many people do it and love it!!!!

For anyone in AZ...pitty I didn't know this until I reached the junction with the parked ranger/closed road.

Managed to get the truck dirty though, and take a picture with the sign for the closed trails.

If you're ever in the big Sur area give me a shout. I'm in Santa Cruz, looking forward to meeting with other taco owners and seeing what this truck can do on the trails!

Took some logging roads near Brazeu Dam to get to work, nothing major but just enough to get a little dirty. Soaked up the bumps and handled the gravel better then expected! Very happy with purchase!
