It only took me 30 minutes to pull the old one and install the new one. It went surprisingly smooth, usually home projects don't go that easy.

Work up to it. Do your landscaping at 330 in the afternoon for a few weeks then you'll be ready to start summer modding!! A few cold IPAs when your done helps as well!

I went outside to program my sprinkler system to combat the 115 plus temps at 230 in the afternoon a couple of days ago. I felt like I was in a damn broiler.

 

Today I used it for a work table trying to get geared up for a week camping on the beach. Started working on the cross bars for my bed. Not a permanent fixture for the truck but a functional one. The uprights are 2" channel the bars will be 1 5/8" uni-strut. They will have mounts on the uprights for an axe and a shovel or whatever I may need depending on the area I am going. Heading to the beach this time so I'll be carting a shovel and a rake with me. Also test fitted my fresh water tank in the bed. The cross bars will allow my gear to clear the tank and free up valuable bed space in this short bed.

Truck parked in shade in driveway at about 1600 hours was 112 ....

Official temps in the city were from 97-98 ... but where I am it is always hotter ... and humid here too.

 

Where do you live?

 

I may just have to look into that. I have pretty much everything else hooked up to WiFi in my house now anyway

 

Atlanta area... but in the city it was only 97-98 ... with lots of humidity here ... dry in AZ

 

At least I don't have to deal with the humidity you do but I don't know how much better the "dry" heat is. It all sucks. If only we could all afford to live in California.
