It was a nice trailer! I talked to the guys at MacDonalds also, they did seem really nice. They walked me through the whole trailer and weren't pushy at all. I just liked the some of the Springdale's features better so I ultimately went with that one. I'm sure you'll have good luck with the camper!

If you want to see mine for comparison, let me know. I'm not far from that dealership.

    Gents,

I'm trying to make a decision on a small utility trailer.

It would be for pretty light use, such as bringing the riding mower in for service or brush to the local wood place for chipping.

Harbor Freight has one that you put together yourself for ~$400 and carries ~1100 lbs. I would have to add a floor and sides myself. The beauty about this particular trailer is that it folds in half and I could store it in my basement or garage pretty easily, and should last a long time because it will never see the elements.

Alternatively, there's a guy who sells homemade steel utility trailers for ~$900. They have wood sides and floor. I would probably have to store it outside, and I'm conserned about the weather killing it prematurely.

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

    -Jeff

That Harbor Frieght ones are ok, very thin material though so you really have to care for it if you want it to last. Personally, I would go for the home made one as long as it's not a PITA to register, it will outlast the HF one if it's well made but I tend to overbuy just to have the option to tow heavier if I ever need to.

What is the rating for the weight on the $900 trailer?

I got my trailer for $800 I think from a local trailer place. If you go and look at some of these other cheap ones in person you can see it's worth it to spend a couple hundred more. For $100 less I could have gotten a tractor supply one just like it, but this one is a million times better quality

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    What he said. Lol

Today Jason came over and hung out with me again. He helped do my brakes, plus we hung out and we shot the shit, then Rachel made dinner for us. We had a good time.

Now to start prepping for more work!

Yesterday the girlfriend surprised me and took me to a vintage car show in Medfield. Saw more 60s and 70s Mustang than I think Ford produced. There were a lot of cool old truck there though. This one caught my eye though, an '82 International Scout

@Pugga , when you did your brake on the ferd, did you have to coax the rotor off the hub? The only reason I ask is that all my materials came in this weekend and I am going to get to replacing ASAP - death wobble is getting ridiculous. In doing research, it seems people have some issues with the rotor rusting onto the hub and either needing a big mallet to break the seal or use a threaded screw through the caliper mounting brackets to pop it off.

Also, you bed in the pads after they were installed? Or do you just pat yourself on the back and use the truck as normal?

Years ago my friend had a 82 Chevy Caprice wagon body..mounted on a 78 Scout frame/drivetrain. All black, blacked out windows, purple pinstripes and rims. It was called The Hearse.

    Happy Monday, faces. :pccoffee:

Up until 1AM Saturday night because I went to party for a guy who's moving out of state, then up at 5AM to go kayaking on the Kennebec with the GF's family and some of their friends. The Sturgeon are doing their run, so every now and then you'd have a 4 foot fish explode out of the water next to your boat. That was cool, but one hell of a heart-starter.
And then last night I got woken up around 2AM because my live-trap alarm triggered from behind the house. I've got a fox who's been hanging around who managed to snag one of my Roosters last week, so I'm trying to get rid of him. But this time it was just a stupid possum, 3rd one I've caught.

Short on sleep, long on coffee this morning, lol.

I suggest BCAA's for your condition, although Monster will work in a pinch.

Blech, Monster. Just plain black coffee for this guy. Energy drinks aren't really my thing.

    I never drink coffee. Ever.

BCAA will give you a nice kick, and it's good for you too.
