Morning peeps!

pardon my stupidity, but what is "BCAA"?

 

An amino acid supplement.

I eat a crapton of protein already, so BCAA's aren't something I include in my diet.

A guy I work with is a big gym rat, he's constantly talking about all the dietary supplements he takes. Prior to working with him I had no idea what they were either.

 

Branch Chain Amino Acids. I take the Optimum Nutrition brand. I was a big soda drinker my whole life till 2 yrs ago. Gives me the kick in the morning I need to get moving and it's healthy stuff, not the sugar and crap.

I pay about $25 for a jar but that lasts 3 wks, so it's not even like it costs more than coffee or soda.

 

Interesting... I might need to look into that. Where do you pick that stuff up? GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, that sort of store?

 

GNC is where I go but yeah that kind of store. I have a GNC right near me, but thinking of not renewing my card ($15 to get discounts)..just have to start looking around I reckon

The Optimum Nutrition one comes in all different flavors, I'm partial to the green apple one.

I'm not a gym guy, but 2 yrs ago started actually giving a shit about my health and got into lifting.

 

Cool. I'll check that stuff out. Thanks!! Started a health kick in early May as part of a weight loss challenge amongst friends that ends this week.

 

Cardio cardio cardio. Diet diet diet.

I dropped about 70 pounds so it can be done, just requires changing your habits. That's not easy but worth it..I got off all the meds I was taking just by doing it.

 

Indeed. Been doing that everyday.

Started at 182 on May 2nd, last night was at 158. Hoping I win the challenge since there are $500.00 at stake as well as bragging rights.

 

I doubt it would help much presently but I do a fat burner cycle when I am struggling. Stuff got me over a huge plateau.

I peaked at 300 in 2002. Got down to about 220 or so after I stopped drinking almost every day. Was around 250-260 2 yrs ago. I got to 190 but gained 10 or so back ugh..

i got the new nicknames of "the lobby" "Stanley steamer" and "ground level" because of how much time i spent on the floor

 

Only thing happy about it is I have a 4 day week and then we are staying in the Cape through Wednesday

 

Next few weeks for me will be packed at work, but worth it. Thursday I'm in an off-site training all day, Friday working from home in the morning then taking the afternoon, long weekend, then on vacation down the cape July 8-17.

 

You should always bed in new brakes when you 1st install them. I just did mine on the way to work today. My new brakes are awesome.

I changed the fronts rotors and put in ceramic pads, all parts were from the dealership. I also took the rear drums off to paint the drums and adjusted them when putting them back together. I had just replaced them last year but needed adjustment, they work great now! I have never had this nice of pedal feel in my truck!!!

Well it sounds like you did it right then! How did you feel the next day?
