What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Bilstein's and done.....dont over think/budget it

 

Why would it be a waste? Wouldn't they still give a smooth ride?

Cheap shocks will give a smooth ride too without dropping hundreds on a product that only fits in the most limited position.

 

Your leafs play a huge factor in ride quality, probably more so than the shocks

 

I'm pretty sure they're gonna be fairly stiff

 

Of course theyl work in stock mounts but the travel shock you can use is gona be limited to how much uptravel your willing to loose. You've got a nice set of leafs and shocks and it would be worth the time to get full use out of them. Plus itl set you up for a ubolt flip.

 

Sounds like you should have gone full OME for $1200....

 

Absolutely doesn't do a damn thing besides makes a loud noise.

 

Better Bed Lights will work on a first gen.

 

Same exact thing but you pay $100 more. But go ahead and pay more and think "morimoto" is better because it costs more. And my second set of projectors i installed are ebay specials. And my quad hid system, Amazon.



Then again, I don't know much about retrofitting or electronics.

 

Wasn't all today, but.......skinned the bed, and got the tailgate working.....

 

Wish the 01-04s had headlight design options like that I would totally run a quad projector setup lol

 

But they come with stickers. Stickers always add power.

Called Wheeler Off-road and got Bilstein 5100's and their 4-leaf spring replacement pack, all the various suspension bushings and bumpstops for $800-ish. But I don't go off-road, only some wicked washboard dirt roads every now and then ... mostly paved, so stock height was fine for my use.

 

Anyone know if a 4runner steering wheel would fit on a tacoma?

 

Only 1k in so far, anyway.
Guess I shouldn't say only. That's almost 1/2 of what I made last year.

 

I'm about ready to add a light bar .. my headlights are so bad, I can't even tell if they're are on or not (and that's at night) !

 

Anyone know of a good build or two that have welded a new thing in... I guess I might as well look.
