Well that was weird... CNS decided to crash hard mid lift. Middle of Back/Bi workout and all of a sudden stopped sweating, pump was gone, and strength got cut in half. Felt pretty sick for a while. Carb refeed day coming very soon! I haven't done one for like 2 weeks though so I shouldn't be too surprised.

Made a 12 egg omelet Saturday night no fucks were given. Woke up Sunday morning .7 lighter than day before :-( almost same weight actually. Not liking this I upped my Calories to 2750 and still dropping. Any suggestions? I don't want to gain weight but I don't want to lose what I have. ( I know it's going to happen) but I still don't want to trade off for a higher fat

Unfortunately, if you're not lifting and you gain weight, it's gonna be fat. If you're losing weight, it's gonna be fat and muscle. Fortunately, muscle memory is awesome and you'll gain your muscle back fast. If you fight to stay the same weight and you're not lifting, it's gonna most likely be fat, as well. I'd just eat at like 100 calories below maintenance so that you lose weight, but at an extremely slow pace; that way, muscle loss (and fat loss) will be minimal.

Just try to eat the same amount of calories every day for a week and see where you are after that.

2 weeks... First week of a strict diet usually yields some water weight loss. Least for me it does. I realize that Newlife has come a long way so his changes might not be as severe as the rest of us.

Anyone know anything about the hip muscle in use during squats? Dude I workout with' physical therapist said that the muscle that limits most people in squats in the muscle that runs alongside their hip and to do the hip machine (the opposite kegel thing) to help strengthen that muscle and possibly help squat numbers. Just curious as to if there's any truth behind this or if my hip/ass cheek is now sore for nothing.

I applaud and feel bad for yall who keep up with macros everyday. I just eat relatively the same amount each day and enjoy being small. Haha

I never made any real progress in the gym and just enjoyed the "little bit stronger" skinny-fat physique until I started counting macros. I really only aggressively count macros when on a cut, because a 1 day hiccup takes me 3 to make up. I still have not mastered a carb refeed days yet on this cut, because I struggle with the low days the rest of the week.

    Kegel

I wish so badly my gym had that machine. I would do it everyday. Easily one of the more overlooked machines. Just never make eye contact with anyone while using it

My biggest thing is I'm out with injury for another 5 weeks at least. Hoping for that to be all but the most I can do right now is legs (not cleared for that but I did tonight) and walk on a stupid treadmill at high incline and !no more than 3.5mph steady walk

Also after a bad weekend or what not it takes me about 2 days to be back where I was before I cheated. But I also drink 1-2 gal of water a day. And sweat like a beast at the gym from the time I start to the time I quit I am moving doing something running in place, Medicine ball slams, high knees, step ups, something to keep my heart in optimal condition for burning fat while lifting. Of course none of that matters for the next few weeks.

I've done that a few times. Sprints on the treadmill right after.... Suuuuper sore after that haha. Wish you well ha.
Kegel thing... Lol. Awesome. The only kegel exercise machines I've seen in the gym are walking around on 2 legs. ;)Ha

This would be nearly half of my calories and ALL of my allowed fat for the day on this cut. Weight loss is about being at a clorice defecit, regardless of physical activity, and sticking to that.

That left me with 1400 for the day and still in a 100 calorie deficit. My maintenance on size alone is 2500. image.jpg
