The deal was remove all the parts in the way. Paint the whole fender blending it to the door. A different body shop told me he did not take off anything he just masked everything. I should have noticed it but it did not catch my eye when I saw it for the first time.

I appreciate the opinion man. You have motivated me more. I am not taking it back for him to redo it why trust someone who wasn't honest. I called him serval times today and no answer my patience is done. I am demanding my money back and filing a complaint. If he wants to make things worse then so be it I tried being nice.

i do primarily fleet maintenance repairs so taping everything off is fairly common, however, on a personal vehicle, especially when the procedure was agreed upon by both parties, the job shuld have been performed as you were told. the price sounds very high to me but then i don't deal with that part. the facts remain you agreed on his price but also heving the repair done correctly you lived up to your part he did not

On a fleet vehicle I understand that part for sure. The excuse he gave me was he masked before the fender lip because there was dirt and he didn't want that in the paint. I washed the truck before I took it in. Just pure laziness.

yep. i'd say you are correct. in body and paint work cleaning is part of the job. hell you ought to see the mess created when doing sanding and foller work. that was a bs line he used as a bs excuse for not doing it rt. the antennae should have been removed and the flare. the flare should have been sprayed seperately but i would have sprayed the fender mounted and blended into the door

His excuses are bs. The flare is the only thing I think that came off. When I told him he just said why you looking in those areas. I can only imagine how much a mess sanding makes. For me personally it doesn't take much effort to do the small details in any job you do.

One shop quote me 2200 for the job. I think it depends on the shop some I feel charge for things that don't need to be replaced.
