    Hello all,

I presently have a 2010 TRD offroad Tacoma in my driveway, the dealer let me have it for the weekend to try it.

In an earlier post I explained why I am trading my 2008 highlander sport for this truck (Highlander not very stable on snow with those Toyo skis, err, tires). I an 98% sure I am gonna trade - I believe I am getting a decent deall)

Soooo, anyway my issue is this - the rearview mirror height. (yes I can be picky) My Ford escape has a nice unobstructed view out of the front window, and the highlander is just plain panoramic, but after driving this wonderful truck about thirty miles I want to rip the rearview mirror off and mount it about two inches higher - it seems like it blocks the whole front window. I am only 5'8 btw.

It has the backup camera screen so I don't think I could move it easily, but it really bugs me. Otherwise this truck is perfect.

    Any suggestions???

    Thanks

The mirror pisses me off. I gets really bad when you have to hang a parking pass from it.

I go in the morning to sign the papers - btw the dealer is Freedom Toyota in Harrisburg. They really gave me a deal I can leave happy with.

But I am darn sure gonna raise that mirror somehow LOL

I feel your pain, at 6'4 I am constantly having to look around that log of a mirror to see what its hiding. But then again, I know I'm not in the prime user height measurements that the engineers were using.

no,i hate the position of that mirror.i guess im just used to looking around it now.every time i get into a car/truck that has a normal rvm i think, wow i should do something with that.and dont let b a deal breaker, just remove it or figure out a way to re locate it.

I'm 6'2' and it is now the only thing that bothers me about my truck (since I had the transmission TSB done). The mirror is attached to a little metal piece that's glued to the windshield. Next summer, I'm thinking about taking it into a glass shop to see if they can raise the metal bracket a few inches. Until then, I've gotten used to bending down a little when making a right hand turn. LOL.

    Cheers.
