Not saying that at all...

Toyota's don't really have an equivalent to Jeep's, say, Smittybuilt. Cheap products mass produced over seas. People still buy them. Doesn't stop name brand, trusted fabricators from putting out a superior product at a much higher price.

Edit: I've been in this argument before, please see previous posts.

You don't cut a logo into powder coated metal, because you will have to sandblast and powder coat it again.

Yeah...I thought of that. But wanted to add to the other crap that's floating in this thread.

Maybe AP gets them before the powdercoat?

But what if I don't want to miss anything? This thread is growing way too fast and I don't think I can afford to waste 3 minutes.

Damn it. I've been trying to catch up between customers all day. Finally get home after 14 hours in my store. Lay here to read and catch up but everytime I hit the next page a page adds on. Why am I in thread purgatory!?!?!?!:annoyed:
I'll catch up in the morning when this thing has tripled like it did from last night to this afternoon!

Unsubd. I'm not gonna get 10000 alerts.

    Cheap ebay bumper, plus others
They would have had to have some sort of no compete agreement, which i guess is illegal in CA, as these are new to the market on name and price. It's only one option as well, no headlight loops etc.

This could have very legitimately been AP's supplier that wanted more of the slice of pie knowijg AP's mark-up margin. AP refused and here we are with a true pricepoint steel front bumper.

Then here's just the blatant design rip off and nothing can be done without a patent or some other legal binding hold on the design. Doesn't have AP on it so no trademark infringement.

We'll likely never know the reason they came to market. Could have been a mutual agreement between the two with a non-disclosure clause in their parting of ways.

All speculation, from the first post to the last

Id just like to bring up what a fine job OP did with these pictures. Bravo sir or should i say Johnny Bravo? As a photographer myself and looking at all the details id like to see in a very analytical situation such as this. The evidence is clear. OP got his hands dirty opening that box, is that a blister?

even thought of us powder hounds checking out the details on dat china "POWDER COAT"

makes you wonder what other details TW can pull from these photos after further analysis. Awaiting further analysis after page 150
