So ever since i became a Taco man after i dumped a whole mess of money into mine just make it run good. I became more aware of other Tacomas and ive seen some with some awsome mods that i wish i had the coin to aspire to. Although ive also seen some that make make cry on the inside and make me think you bastard how could you have let such a beautiful truck get to that condition. then today while i was standing in my yard a red super clean looking red 1st gen drove by. i thought in my head man i wish lil' red still looked like that. and as i stared in awe the driver looked once at lil' red and just shook his head. all i could do was yell it its not my fault thats how i got it im trying but my heart was filled with shame. what do you guys think when you see a sweet moded or super clean stock and ofcourse the big beater ones.

I bought a new house. Double Cab Gen 1 next door. Truck inside has fast food wrappers and coke bottle. I judge them for being messy.

Then again I am sure people judge my Taco for being a loser stock truck.

I don't think I judge other Tacos with mods honestly. I do, however, get mod envy sometimes.

The one thing I AM guilty of is raging when I see a good truck not taken care of, especially when it's easy stuff to fix. Case in point, know someone with a 1st gen that has a manual side mirror that has been cracked/bent back from backing against a pole. Has been that way for so long I might just have to buy a replacement and fix the damn thing myself, if only to keep from seeing it every time I run into the guy.:frusty:

Envy is real. I feel it for long travelers and tent guys.

Mine has tons of dents and scratches but that's part for the course. My dad had a beauty first Gen and my paint is worse than his so I catch him eyeing scratches sometimes haha. He examines my care for the bodywork or lack there of. Monstaliner is on my list. And the debts are mostly on the bumper from approach angles. One on the door from stupidity...

Some dude was trying to wave at me the other day, he had a 2000 Tacoma with a 6" lift and mall 35s and I didn't see any CV axles in the front.

I went "noooope don't wave at me... You and I are not similar people"

Only thing that bugs me is when people dont take care of what they have. Other than that I dont give a damn what other people do to their trucks. You wanna put armor on a taco and run it through the mud and break shit? Cool. You wanna put a 9" lift and 22" rims and take pictures in grass fields? Cool. I dont care lol. Tacos are tacos. Slammed, stock, lifted or anything in between

First and foremost a truck is designed for utility. So if its beat up i usually assume that it is used as a workhorse.
The only time i really judge another truck owner is if they've turned into a low rider. Maybe its just me, but In my opinion there's nothing more pointless or uglier than a lowrider truck.

Mine's rusting out above both rear tires, roof-windshield seam rusty & leaks (now covered with red duct tape), front & rear bumpers dented & rusty...but she purrs like new and gets me where I want to go without burning a drop of oil.

Judge away. I do get envious when I see a real clean 1st gen.

I deal with bitches in my line of work, so I don't want to deal with bitches in my hobbies. I don't judge and I don't pay attention to anyone else who judges mine. My truck, my money. Their truck, their money. So long as it runs and doesn't crash into mine, it's all good.
