I'm going to have to get some new shocks as my current ones are now too short and are basically limit straps lol... I'm also looking at the zone xj shackle for a bit more out of the new setup... I'm going to head out tmrw for a quick shakedown and see how she performs. On the street I notice it's not sagging and much higher in the rear

Sooo I went for a drive today hit up a couple trail offshoots I'd never seen before everything was cool until the trail abruptly ended and what seemed like decently hard packed dirt was actually dried mud crust and my truck sank up to the doors. Guy in a first Gen yota was rolling by and gave me a tug while I pinned it locked up bounced off a tree and the strap wrapped around my axle and ripped out the rear abs wires... in other words a normal day in the bush.. no damage to the truck my rear plate bumper did it's job....truck is gonna sit for at least a week while I'm Working out of town.... it's gonna be an easy fix, and the new leafs are awesome although I need longer shocks cause mine tap out really fast now

I couldn't have done it without her.... and she loves coming out everywhere with me. Even when she has to hide in the foot well and sob in silence when we're on a shelf road lol.

Thanks again sometimes I wonder if anyone is paying attention it's nice to hear

i'm just starting in all this. i've got a 2013 ac 2.7 at my local shop suggested a spacer lift and with me not being familiar with ifs and the lower price point i jumped on it. they also recommended 17x9 wheels with -12 offset with 285's. they look great but as i'm finding out they aren't the most functional. my off road usage will be mostly logging roads during hunting season and mud and some occasional tril riding. i'm looking at an ome setup i can add to if needed and a buddy is recomending ditching the 285's and going to 255/85/16's is there a happy medium that can be reached to have an adequately functional truck without having to go all out with things like lockers and a regear

    O've seen
I've seen some guys here with 235/85/16 tires, wich is pretty close to 32", and I liked the look. A skinnier tire is also good for offroading and I think it could be less expensive than 33", depend of the model.

Do yourself a huge favor and ditch the pos spacer lift ASAP. Ome makeso a great product, definitely go with the dakars I love them on my truck. You'll need extended rear brake lines. One thing I've learned is stuff the biggest tire you can get away with on the truck it makes things much easier. 255/75r16 (or 85 i cant remember)are a great tire and favored among overlanders for years. It's a skinny 33. I once said I'd never go with 35s lol or do super hard trails. Then I came here and watched a moab video

thanks i've been working with TACOfms to change the situation i'm getting ready to order the 3 leaf progressive aal with extended brake lines to fix the rear we don't think i need to go as far as a ubolt flip or anything rt now i was looking at the dakars but with the 4cyl i'm not planning on really packing it with weight he felt the 3 leaf pack was a better option. then the plan is to save money and when i can replace the front spacer with an ome setup, and whatever else that will be a real bennefit. since i already have the wheels we are trying to figure out the tires. i'll either replace them with another set of 285's or was looking for an alternative. don't want to replace wheels unless i have to i like them. it's nothing special but here is how it sits now. thankyou for your time if it looks like the wheels are a problem i guess they could be sold and i could put the stock steel wheels back on i just don't really care for them but i guess i could paint them
