I have to admit my favorite rental for my back is the Cruz. I like it better than the fusion

 

You like the Chevy Cruz more than the Ford Fusion?

 

I guess as a rental you're not paying for the water pump when it shits the bed in record time for one thing..

 

Haha yeah, the loaded up ones. Comfortable on my back, they drive smooth, and really good mileage

 

They cost so little at the pump every week because half the week they aren't running..

 

You must have been burned by a Chevy a time or two in the past haha

 

My 06 Colorado puking the top end at 70K and being told it's normal, yup..yet I can find on Google in a minute the secret warranty no dealer knows about right!

Oddly I drove GM for 20 yrs before buying my Tacoma and mostly 10 yr old cars, never had the kind of shit with them I had with a new truck

 

The Silverados are bulletproof though. They've been making that engine since the beginning of time

 

I've had chevy Cruz's as a rental a few times and they were pretty comfy. Handled ok too, I used one to rip around the mountains of Idaho last year and it was decently fun.

 

I had thought about a Silvy as my next truck if I went full size, this was about 4-5 yrs ago after borrowing my brother in law's.

Not that I see a need or anything changing the next few years but if I did I think I'd be hard pressed to not get a F150.

 

Knowing what I know now, I sort of wish I got the Ecoboost. I didn't have anything bad to say about my Ferd until I hooked it up to the camper. The 5.0 is a bit obnoxious when it's under load and is very, very quick to let the tachometer soar. It was fine with the pop up but it's a different animal towing the travel trailer.

 

The Ecoboost is a great towing engine, my cousin has one and I have borrowed it to pull a friends 27 foot enclosed snowmobile trailer. I will likely buy a F-150 myself next round.

 

Spent the past week up in Maine. Did some hiking, swimming, kayaking and most importantly eating.

After seeing the photo's from another member and seeing as how it was only a couple hours away we ended up going to the train.

 

Nice, I'd love to get up to the trains. Where did you stay?

 

everywhere lol. Up above moosehead lake for a day, GF suggested we try to stay at a lodge in the Allagash and then try to do some paddling so we stayed at Johnsons allagash lodge after the hike we got rained out. Then we stayed near flaggstaff for 4 days. Did part of the Kennebec river.

We are trying to do the Allagash in the next few years but we keep running into issues. Last time two of our friends that were going to go decided to get pregnant.

 

Looks like you guys got a taste of real Maine seafood, lol. That fried sh*t they serve up and down route 1's got nothing on a true clam bake. I don't even like lobster and I think it tastes good when it's cooked like that.

 

That's awesome. I think we are going to do that in August
