this is my Tacoma, there are many like it but this one is mine!!!!

    (yes, it's a 4x4. and that's a Franken-50's ford in the driveway)

this is a big effing deal to me, i am NOT the kind of guy that buys a new vechicle every few years. i've had my Integra since 1989, and i am NOT mr. moneybags! (the Cobra kit car in the garage came with many a sacrafice....)

i would like to thank everyone here on the forum for helping me out with my research - explaining TRD Sport vs. off road and VTRAC vs. ATRAC vs. flux capacitor vs. ???? :)

got it at Crown Toyota in Ontario for the Costco price @ 2.9 APR. payments are $498 and i put 5K down. no pressure on the sales or extended warranty stuff, but then again, i drove up in my Cobra (show-car) and they understaood i would probably void the basic warranty within a year.

i look forward to the mods:

    1. black off-road floor mat swap at dealer (done)
    2. remove all emblems and tri-lingual "warning" stickers from door sills, etc. (done)
    3. rear window decal graphic
    5. side step bars
    6. home-made chrome front bull bar w/ angled license plate mount, skid plate & off-road lights (can't wait!)
    7. chrome rear bumper swap (some day - gonna see if it grows on me)
    8. wheels, tires, suspension (some day)
    9. new front grille
    10. supercharger ? do they exist?
    11. BLACK interior - wish me luck with this one!!!!

i look forward to meeting some of the SoCal guys and hitting a few trails, i am from New York city and i have never done anything like that.

    thanks again and Happy 2010!

Awesome congrats on the new truck

I'm sure there are plenty of people that will trade you bumpers. If you were Mag grey I would be knocking at your door right now.

    GOOD QUESTION!!!

    1. the plan is them fancy, black neoprene seat covers from WetSeal or whatever it's called - front and rear.

    2. replace carpet with black carpet (sure i can do it)

    3. aftermarket door sills, or make polished aluminum ones (sure i can do it)

    4. paint a few dash parts.

    5. re-cover the door elbow rests with black material

i guess i'm stuck on the grey plastic door panels and speaker grilles, but i think i can get the interior 80% black. just 5 years ago, i had no experience in building cars but now i am confident i an do it. here is my Cobra Kit Car if anyone is interested in seeing it:

Well you got the right attitude about it! haha, I agree though, go with black weathertechs all around vs. replacing carpeting.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.

    .

Nice Tacoma that you bought ... you will love it.

On your Cobra Kit Car .... I have been tinkering with the idea to build one for several years now. Perhaps even a 427 side oiler.

Or, buy one already built. Been looking at "Factory Five" and others too.

    Any ideas and/or suggestions ???

    Thanks ...
