awesome writeup man!! I appreciate that!

I could probably adjust for that curvature for future bezels if anyone is interested.

as far as the sanding.. I know :pout: that was the ONE thing I was worried about and why I made it known that they wont be perfect and that its up to your standards on how good you want it to look. Wish we had higher resolution printers.. they would be much better then.

Keep us updated on how it holds up and works. I am definitely interested in your guys' feedback.

My current thoughts are to replace the useless cubby...haven't seen any pics of anyone who's done that yet, but I'm sure someone has. Width should be fine but height may be a bit tight. We'll see...

Hey, those that sanded, what grit did you all use and by hand or not. Thinking of working on that some of this long weekend.

IIRC.. I used a 600 by hand.. Primered, sand, primered, sand, paint. the material is relatively soft.. so any light grit will work.

yes, I have done the mods
I alternated between 60 and 100, using sanding sponges from Home Derpo. Sand it way more than you think you have to. Also round off the inside edge of the bezel, too. Tolerances are super tight; rounding off the inside edge will help you wiggle the switchpro in there once you have the bezel mounted.

Not sure I am following which inside edge you are referring too?

I made those tolerances tight for capture reasons.. it should specifically shave off some material as it goes in.. that way you know its tight.

the inside edge that the switch pro pops into.

this inside edge. Once I had the bezel glued in to my console, it was even tighter than when I was test-fitting it loose. Which is awesome! It's a wonderfully precise piece. I just didn't want to force it toooooo hard in there, I've done that before on other projects and broken things. So I rounded off that inside edge a little to help it wiggle in.

So, if you were to want to use this, but was worried of exceeding the amp draw limit, could you just wire in separate power and a relay and use this switch to power just the relay?
