I have a TRD Sport and I plan to go with 265/70/17. This is my daily driver and I don't off road, I'm looking for something that looks more aggressive but doesn't kill my MPG.

I put 265/70/17 "C" rated KO2's on my sport and haven't noticed any change in mileage. I have less then 1200 in three months though and put the tires on around 500 miles.

Also, no difference in noise from the tires. I was impressed.

Since the KO2's are on the list just get those. They aren't the better tire but are the coolest and newest must have tire...

Is price a consideration? The KO vs the Cooper is a pretty large price spread. If it is and you like the KO look you can look at the General Grabber AT2, similar style and highly rated for a much more reasonable price point (IE you aren't paying for a name).

Stick with P rated since you don't leave the pavement, it will save your mpg. The more aggressive you get the more tire noise and the heavier you go over stock will decrease your mileage (mostly city), food for thought.

Yeah, KO2's are expensive now, I got them shipped to me for around $900.

I'm running Cooper ST Maxx on my daily driver. :) But I also went 33" and wanted to be able to off-road with them if/when I actually get time to do so. And the ST Maxx are extremely quiet for an A/T - M/T type tire! I really don't even hear them. In fact, with the windows rolled up I hear my front differential (I have aftermarket gears) over the tires.

The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 are what my employer mounts to all our service vehicles (Dodge Ram 1500 4x4). I've heard good things from our guys. They drive through snow/ice in the winter with them while pulling trailers with 1,000lbs or more on the trailer at any given time.

The BFG KO2's have a very good reputation not only on Tacomas but many other vehicles as well. They wouldn't be bad even if you did off-road a bit.

Any A/T tire is going to reduce fuel mileage. Just keep that in mind.

You might seriously want to consider the General Grabber AT2.

I am running the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 265/65/17. Love the tires. The drive is good and quite.

With the exeption of the Falken, none of those tires are P metrics.

    They are all C/E loads.

I read a lot about the K02s and I was seriously considering them, but i'm an on road guy (and they seem to be very highly rated on road too!) but they are just too aggressive looking for my 2WD truck.

I use mu KO2s as a winter tire. Amazing in the snow. Kept the stock tire and rim as the summer tire.

Kinda Like the ProComps, but have no real history with these. Th K02's just keep going up in price due to demand by us Tacoma owners..so I am back to reconsidering the ProComp XtremeMT2 , General Grabber AT2. and the Cooper Discover STT Pro is also on my shortlist...

I went with Cooper AT3s from Discount Tire Direct (the Ebay deal back in March).
By far these are my favorite tires.
Most of driving is pavement mixed with long weekend excursions on fire roads, forest roads or dirt roads in Vermont.
They are super quiet and really grip in the rain.
I have had KOs on my tundra rock warrior in the past and they seemed noisy.
Very happy with the look and performance of the Coopers.

The Nitto Terra Grappler G2s are OEM tires on the 4R TRD Pro.

They also come in lighter load rating, and if Toyota puts them on the 4R, i'm sure it's a decent road manner tire.

Just wondering, why an at if you never off-road? That eliminates a lot of very good tires. Ms2's are a much better street tire than any of the ones you listed, and cooper srx' share nearly as good if not equal to the ms2.
