Hey guys, im pretty new to community and ive been looking into everyones builds for some ideas. i came across a user in a 2013 taco that had these NST Pulleys and had nothing but good things to say about them. Im in contact with NST about the 2016 model now. They currently do not have a kit for the 2016 but are willing to either do me a one off custom job, or they have a MOQ of 25 kits ( Crank and Alternator ) to start mass production. maybe we can stir up some solid interest on here to get them started for mass pro.

Does any have or know where to find any photos of the OEM pulleys and measurements with regards to diameter and belt ribs? obviously i can take the pics myself, but if someone went through the trouble already id like to take advantage of that. if i get these specs theyll quote me the custom price and id be more then happy to share that with the community .

THIS IS FOR THE 3.5L engine models

heres a link to their 05-15 version: http://www.shopnonstoptuning.com/store/p90/2005_-_2015_Toyota_FJ_/_Tacoma_/_XRunner_Crank_Pulley_NST06150_.html

I've learned to be suspect of the lighter crank pulley in applications where the stock crank pulley is a harmonic damper. Shattered oil pump gears tend to arise, especially in 4 cylinder apps.

Given the fact that the parts catalog, at least for the 2.7 4 cylinder, explicitly lists the front crank pulley as "VIBRATION DAMPER," yeah, no thanks.

That said, water pump, P/S, and alternator are all fair game, although that's not where the lion's share of the gains are.

Unlikely to have a happy ending there, too. If you're down to thrash your oil pump be my guest.

yea you are right @Nitori , the 3.5L 6 cylinder also lists it as a "damper" . Im gunna put it on them and see what kind of bs they can come up with... ive also requested the dynos to prove their claims. will see if that goes anywhere

My question is are they just lighter? if so I doubt very much you will get 7-10 hp out of them. are they underdrive pulleys? if so that will cause a whole slew of other problems such as weak power steering assisit at idle, ac compressor not able to keep up on a hot day, charging system might not be able to keep up with power demands and might eventually stall the engine with a dead battery. Infact with variable powersteering and the complex charging systems on modern vehicals, I wouldnt be surprised if just putting these on cause CEL.

What's wrong with all of you???

HP will definitely increase because the pulleys are RED!

GTFO with all of your skepticism. Sheesh!
