honestly, I just like the look of an AT tire more than a street tire. Who knows, maybe one day I'll take her off road.

don't forget about load rating under each tire, makes a difference in mpg and ride.

Mine were c load. C load are 6 ply and e load were 10 ply. I went with c load because the e load would have had a stiffer ride. If you plan on towing heavy trailers long distance e load would be the better choice.

I've got them on my truck, rides great on the street, dirt and sand for a lot less money than the KO2s.

I've got the AT3' (265/75-16) and love them!!! Not to much louder then the stock tires and they perform great on and off road!!!! They are also very easy on the wallet. I got mine for $583 mounted and balanced out the door.

I think people buy C loads because of the sidewall toughness/stiffness.

Even a P-metric tire has way more load than the Tacoma can handle.

I won't waste my money on anything else but Michelin LTX M/S for years now....I was getting over 100,000 miles on my 1997 4x4 (3 sets on that baby)....Always rode good and good traction too....Never any aggressive roaring either thank goodness....Have them now on my 2016.

Excuse my ignorance, but where would I find this outlined on the tire? I looked however did not see either of the mentioned called out. I'm new to the 4x4 world, however I do know I ordered the C rated tires.

If you ordered C rated, they are LTs. Do they rub at all and have you had them off road?

No rub and they perform GREAT off road. I've had them in mud with no issues, where my buddies one in a jeep on 32's (BFG KO2) and the other in a 6" lifted newer 4x4 cheby on MT' where having some issues. I've had them on trails that consist of dirt, gravel, water and mud with inclines/declines and areas that were rutted that caused a lot of flexing. They also clean their self pretty well while wheeling. Just remember I'm new to the 4x4 world and have only wheeled this thing 3 times since I've had it, got it on 06-06-2016. So these tires could be crap in a veterans eyes, however I have been very pleased.

They actually get very good marks for off road capabilities! I think those are what I'm going to go with. Any hit to gas mileage?

Not that I have noticed. However I've only had the tires about 2 weeks. I'm averaging 18.4 a tank, with 18.6 overall since I've taken ownership with 73 miles. It has 14XX on it as of this evening.

No offense, but tires are like most other things....You get what you pay for....The AT3 has a 55,000 mile warranty.....Report back at 30,000 miles....

When I was younger I bought softer tires that I loved....At first they rode nice and smooth....Then when they had some miles and heat cycles on them they were terrible.... bald, slick and noisy.

The Michelins performance don't drop off until 70,000+ (their warranty) I guess and they still lasted 30,000 more.

The fact that the KO2's have twice as many votes as the next tire on the list is a joke. The OP clearly stated he does not off road and this was his daily driver. Do you really think KO2's are the best choice for that? Or did you just vote for that because that's what you have?

OP, the Cooper AT3's are great tires for on/off road for a fraction of the price of the KO2's. They look "aggressive" but are silent on the pavement, and lighter than the KO2's. Apparently they are great in snow as well, but I have yet to test that. Yes, I have them, but if I had the KO2's I wouldn't recommend them given your driving habits.

None taken. I don't mind spending some coin to try something different. We will see how they hold up in the long run.
