Anyone ever use the Wolf steel case ammo? Been thinking about buying some for my AR before shit hits the fan with this gun control stuff again. Anyone had any issues with it? I know it's dirty ammo but I clean my gun after each shooting session so I'm not concerned with that. Just don't want to have problems with jams or misfires. Thanks! http://www.bulkammo.com/rifle/bulk-.223-ammo

Buy it with confidence. Been using it for range ammo in both my AR rifle and pistol builds. Never had a problem.

What He said! The only thing I'll add, Is I do prefer polymer coated over lacquer. The lacquer got stickie in the mags & chamber when it got hot.

I don't use the steel any more because a few years (maybe 8-9 now) I was burning through some ammo with my Glock on a hot day, shooting with a buddy of mine, and one of the lacquered shells welded itself into the chamber. Had to take a wooden dowel and knock it out when I got home. Talked with some other people who'd had it happened and haven't bought the lacquered stuff since.
They may have corrected that issue by now, but ever since then I try to stick with poly coated or brass whenever I can.

Edit- looks like I'm not alone, lol.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the info! I had no idea they were coated in two different finishes. I'll be sure to pay close attention to that. Don't want any issues...I don't take the AR out much but when I do it's an all day event and that barrel gets HOTTT:bananadead: LOL.

Edit: Figured this just fit here... haha16ksx2.jpg

I was doing speed drills with my Glock. 5 targets, 3 rounds each. Slap in a new mag and do it again, so same idea. I was probably 3 hours in on an August day when it FTE'd, so that barrel was nice and hot.

Added another to the stable today, first .308 I've ever bought.
It's used but I can barely tell, slight wear on the bolt finish, very little wear in the magazine well, and just a few spots on the barrel that indicate it was in the woods a time or two.

So I have to find a scope for that rifle, I want to start shooting at longer range (Past 100 yards down here is considered long range) planning on making my range 300 yards, and I want good quality glass, budget is ~$600.

Looking at the vortex Viper HS-T 4-16x44, thoughts?

Good! Lol don't want anything that's gonna jam the gun. I'd never rely on that steel stuff if it came down to it anyways but still. I'm sure it's a headache cleaning that junk out

Those of you who have blocks and have done the .25 trigger mod, what polish did y'all use? Flitz? Thinking about doing it on my G17 and G43 when it comes in. Also going to be getting a New trigger bar and spring kit for the G43. 9lb trigger pull on that little gun seems a bit much lol. Wouldn't mind bringing the pull down to around 6lbs

Right on. Just trying to get other polish options in case I can't find Flitz anywhere. I was Just going to apply it with a q-tip and polish by hand.
