Does your 3G TRD Squeak?

Someone is lying. If the tech had opened a case with Toyota he would have been told that lubricating the springs is not an approved repair. Believe it or not Toyota wants to fix your vehicle and the dealer gets paid to do it.
To me it sounds like you have an inexperienced tech looking at your truck.
Have your dealer provide a TAS case number for your records. If they can't then I'd call BS

 

Had same issue on my 15 resulted in buy back from Toyota

 

Howd you do it jb700 and ive already opened a case and they denied any repair. Been fighting for almost 4 months

Just LOL smitty I feel so bad for you. I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous your situation is. I don't think there is an issue you have yet to experience in its fullest. I've seen so many people give you shit but nobody can argue that video. The only time I ever had a squeak that bad was on my Ford truck at 120k miles when the rubber body mounts had completely disintegrated and all that was left were the metal mounts at several locations. And it wasn't even as bad in the video at the rear of the truck!

I would be beyond pissed if my new truck sounded like that.

I would dump that truck at the dealer, tell them you took video of the issue and that you don't want it back until a field support engineer from Toyota comes out and determines what is wrong with it and it is fixed. If they won't work with you, go straight to Toyota Corporate and send the video to them.

I would be absolutely dumbfounded if both the dealer and Toyota Corporate ignored that issue.

 

Mines the same way and corperate and the dealer ignored the issue. Ill do a video in a little while and mines wet at the moment.

 

Close to full price, i am not allowed to disclouse full amount, they made me sign legal papers to cover thier butts once they knew i was taking it to the state lemon law, it is a recall that they are sweeping under the rug, the more complaints and lemon laws they will do something.

 

So you did the lemon law for the squeaking leaf springs thats it?

 

Yup same here, complete BS to me the truck is designed for off roading and advertised for it.

 

Yup, they replaced each side numerous times, and still could not fix the issue, it is caused by metal on metal rubbing which creates sparks near your gas tank, and it gets very hot from the constant movement.

 

I tried numrous times to clean, and relube still squeaks after, the bushings completly fail.

 

Call toyota headquartes. If you live in a state controlled by South East toyota or Gulf States toyota talk to them, that is where i went after they refused to do anything.

 

That was for a 16 tacoma?

I got 250k on my 00 and it does fine just this new one drives me crazy

 

No a 2015, but you have the same problem

 

Really what did they say to you?

 

They said they were sorry they couldnt do anything. they were working on a way to fix it and didnt have a time line on how to fix it. It also took 2 wks to talk to anyone. It was basically phone tag and they would call back the next day. The case manager i talked to was plum rude as well. My case number is 1605251972 incase someone dont believe me.
